I have been going to The Greek Lady restaurant since 2003. I recently had all my friends, about 35 of us, come celbrate my birthday with me as we ate and conversated at The Greek Lady. The restaurant owners showed me so much love and provided us with platters and soda. We were there about 3 hours. Everone ordered a meal in addition to the platters that were provided. My friends have now fallen in love with this restaurant and their food. So now The Greek Lady has some new loyal customers! Thank you Greek Lady for making my birthday so much fun!

I have been going to Greek Lady for about 3 yrs now. I was attracted by the cleanliness initially, then when I tasted the food, I was hooked. I go there at least 4 times during warm weather and at least twice a month when it is cold. I enven had my Birthday party there this yr ('08). The people are very friendly and the atmosphere is safe and relaxed. I would recomment them to everyone. And the tourist would love to experience grat food in Philadelphia. Maria and her mom are the best. I love George too! The most important thing is that the restaurant is very very clean. I have seen them clean afterthey close. Once I was late getting there and they had closed maybe 30 minutes before. They were thoroughly cleaning the grill area (actually steam cleaning it. the floors, the walls, and eveywhere. I was once inthe back area talking to Maria's mom and that area is just as clean as the rest of the place. The bathroom is also kept vey clean. Greek Lady is the best place to eat! I will be a customer until my mouth is sealed shut. Holla! DJ Lisa Love (www.myspace.com/djlisalove)

Until today, a large group of us at work used to order from Greek Lady several times a week. We loved their food, especially the pita chips! Despite frequent errors in the orders we still would order and were loyal customers. Today, we placed an order for delivery. An hour and 20 mins later, still no food. Called to check the status of our delivery, figured it was just probably busy, we were told, "the delivery guy left with your order over an hour ago. He should be there any minute." Twenty mins later, still no food. Called again. Asked if our order could be "re-made" since it was made almost 2 hours earlier and riding around the city somewhere. We were told, OK. Five mins later we got a call that the delivery was here. No way they remade the order and delivered it all in 5 mins. The delivery guy told us the food was still warm, as a coworker took out a steak sandwich and it was stone cold and soggy! He said he wouldn't take it back. Eventually appoligized but we still had 2 hour old, cold food. Another coworker called to speak with someone at Greek Lady and to explain that we were loyal, frequent, large order customers and were really surprised at this response from the delivery guy. She was polite and never raised her voice (there were 6 witnesses to this phone conversation as we put the phone on speaker-mode). He said she was calling him a liar and that he worked 40 hours this week and how dare she "f***ing call (him) a liar." He was raising his voice, using the f-word several more times and said if she called him a liar again that he'd "come up (there)" and confront us then he hung up on us. Even at places that I have experienced really poor customer service, I have never experienced anything like this. We were speechless. Needless to say, Greek Lady has lost a frequent large order customer and we will never order from them again. I'm sure this won't impact the majority of their customers but I just wanted to let people know...

The Greek Lady Salad is heaven. It is loaded with great stuff (delicious chicken, feta, cucumber, etc) and one order can serve three people. They just use oil and vinegar, so I don't know how it's so amazing. The pita is fresh and homemade and their taztiki is incredible. I eat here once a week. And they deliver to boot!!

Olga Dipopolous is the premier chef at this fine institution and I wouldn't have it any other way. Once you've tried her craft you just can't get enough. Go with the Greek Lady Chips. They tend to take a while to prepare but that is only because they are made by the best and for the best. I love this place. Do not look any further if you want to return to the mother homeland.
