    Not good Business

I wanted to purchase a item that I had never tasted before and asked for a sample. They do not give samples. Their food is by the pound.I asked if I could buy a small portion and they said no, must buy a pound. Not good business. You should be able to buy a small piec to see if you like the food.

    Good sandwiches, Excellent Soups

Since I work in the area, I frequent Grocery for take-out lunch. They have the BEST soups around! Freshly made, and an excellent variety. Their sandwiches are also good but a little pricey. Wonderful assortment of breads and gourmet goodies.

    Worth a try.

I went for lunch today. I had the fresh mozz--pinenut pressed sandwich. It was tasty. I don't know if it was $7 tasty but it was satisfying.

great food, questionable prices & staff

All in all i love the food and variety. Some of the food is a bit overseasoned but for the variety it is great. Prices could be better. Certain night staff aren't very friendly.

Nice place for a quick city lunch

Grocery strikes a nice balance between upscale and affordable, adventurous and familiar. The tomato flatbread is particularly good, and the oatmeal bar offers a great array of choices to customize an old comfort food. However, the menu can be a little inconsistent -- some options prove unexpectedly spicy (a great thing in my book, but maybe not in everyone's) and others are disappointingly bland despite their exotic ingredient lists and fabulous descriptions.
