great food poor service
the food is excellent, the staff not so good. Hire friendly warm people. Everyone there including the owners are unpleasant. I may not return unless the staff somwhow becomes polite.

Very Good
My partner and I went to Hinge and we just loved it. The staff was so friendly and very helpful and the food was excellent. One thing if you get the bean soup which very good, watch out! Talk about the wind afterwards, but worth it.

I must be mistaken
I must not have been at the same establishment some of my fellow reviewers were. Granted, we only stopped in for coffee and dessert, but the waitstaff and servers couldn't have been friendlier or any more courteous. The prices were more than reasonable and the atmosphere warm and inviting. My party and I were pleasantly surprised to have found The Hinge accidentally and will definitely be returning and will have no problem recommending it to others. They put a great ending on what was already a wonderful night out for us....and so close to home.

Good choice.
I have eaten at the Hinge several times and the food is really good, even though it is often crowded, we have never had to wait long for a table. There are enough menu choices that you can order vegetarian without making it an issue. Everyone there is friendly and showed us through the art gallery and upstairs where yoga classes are held. No need to travel into CC and pay for parking when you can eat at the Hinge.

Nice place
Although I really like the food at the Hinge, I am not at all crazy about the courteousness of the staff including the owner. Also, the keyboard player is a bit too much in this small restaurant. You can't hear yourself talk while he is playing music. When he is finished, the stereo goes on and that is just as loud. I suggest more smiles. If you chose not to talk, that's fine but please greet and be gracious. Overall I like this place but it is never on the top of my list because of my reasons above. There are plenty of other places in Port Richmond and Fishtown that are just as good, just as inexpensive and are very anxious to take my money as well but with a smile.

perfect
This cafe has every aspect of the place I have always dreamed of owning. The only thing I can think of improving on is the hours...should stay open later on weekends. I wish it were mine...perfect.

Home away from home
We live very near to Hinge Cafe. The food and presentation of the food is excellent. Their deserts and coffee are to die for... The portions of food you get for the great value is overwhelming. The service is great, when you walk through the door someone is always there to welcome you and take you to a table. I have been to many special events at the Hinge, business meetings that they made me proud that I suggested it to be held at the Hinge Cafe. What a special night they made New Years Eve for my family and friends. The owners even though they are very busy, try to come over to every table and say "hello". Being a lifelong Port Richmond resident, I am delighted they are in my neighborhood. Everyone needs to visit the Hinge Cafe and the great experience that my family always has...
