    Not worth the wait!

My family and I went for breakfast, though by the time we were sat it was lunch. We were told by a "snippy" host that the wait would be 40min, 2 hours later we were seated. The place is popular, I get it however they could have given us a more acurate wait time. Not to mention there is no place to wait and it was 19 degrees out and I have 2 small hungry kids! So when our table was ready, right next to the kitchen doors, that hit my chair every time someone came out of the kitchen. Our server was great, very prompt and attentive. Food was good very creative diner homestyle type food. Prestley pancakes were great! Ruben just ok. Bacon cheese fries were great. The chicken fried steak needed major salt. Overall the food is good, if you can stand all the granola/ hippie type people that the place is packed with, and if you have half a day to waste.

    MMM Good

This has some great down home cooking. I highly recommend the breakfast bomb. Weekends are especially busy, but the host was very nice and attentive. After waiting our server was polite and was always ready to refill our coffee. I would go again and again. Such good Hashbrowns!

    Some people are never happy

Honey's is what every diner should be mandated to be or be forced to close - simply to preserve the General Good. <g> Because let's face it: diners in general have become total crap. Let us all heartedly Thank God that Honey's has it's excellent and interesting food - never the 'same old tired'. And . . . it's available morning-to-night. Great staff and service too. "Oh no! A crowd of people eager to eat at a great restaurant! Who ever heard of such a thing?" Who thinks this way? <g> Look; if you don't go to Honey's - it will certainly be Your loss.

    Great place

Great home-style-eclectic-fusion type eatery. A bit crammed inside but great food and good service. A great place to go with a friend or two or to take your mom (which is what I normally do).

    Our Favorite Place

I'm sorry to see some people have had bad experiences at Honey's. Our frequent visits have never been anything but delicious and enjoyable. We tend to eat dinner at Honey's to avoid the brunch crowd, but we do eat brunch there occasionally as well. The servers recognize us and are always friendly and attentive. I'm also not sure how their menu could be considered "pricey." You get what you pay for in this world. The food is excellent, so much so that we always have trouble deciding what to order. I've never walked out of Honey's feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. If you're not willing to pay for great food, just eat at home or go to a "diner" where you can get low-quality food and terrible service (and you'll still spend almost as much as you would at Honey's). Honey's is by far our favorite restaurant in the city, for brunch or dinner. Times being what they are right now, we can't go as frequently as we would like, but if we decide to splurge on a night out for dinner, Honey's is the clear choice. Enjoy!

To say 'yum' is not enough

I've gone to Honey's so many times, and it's always been tasty. I'm vegetarian, and I still haven't tried everything veggie on the menu b/c I am always torn between trying something new and getting the delicious thing I had last time. It's a nice place and the staff are kind. I take friends here when they visit Philly, and everyone is always happy.

Long waits... not sure if it's worth it.

I guess this is the new "hip" diner type spot in Northern Liberties? I haven't seen so many ironic mustaches and skinny jeans since the last time Animal Collective was in town. If you can get inside without an hour (or two!) wait on certain days, the food isn't that bad. The service was great, bringing us pleanty of bottomless coffee... which we were each charged $2.50 for? Personally, a 24 oz Wawa coffee is much tastier and a heck of a lot cheaper. The hallah french toast was quasi-authentic tasting and the organic bacon was bland and chewy. Also fairly pricey for the bang. The atmosphere was also a bit cramped. I couldn't decide if the howling wind (everytime someone opened the door) or the aging scenester complaining about his skateboard enduced back pain annoyed me more. All in all, not a bad spot if you get there on a quiet morning.
