Not worth the wait
The hype is huge but the delivery is small. A list: dry bisquits, burnt bacon, flavorless grits and unseasoned eggs. We requested a table inside but were seated outside with the promise of being moved. Other quests were moved in before us. It was hot, nosiy and dirty outside. We will not return.

its no wonder this place isnt open for dinner anymore, the service is almost as bad as i what i experienced in paris. the food is always delicious. i just wish the owners would realize how awful their wait staff is to their customers and fix the problem so that people could enjoy their experience there .

Our new NoLib Breakfast Place
We walked over from Old City for breakfast last Sunday (go early) and were happy to find Honey's churning out fabulous breakfast smells. The hostess was pleasant and our server was very attentive, our coffee was refilled often and never in danger of going cold. It was hard to decide, as we were perusing what all the other diners were having. We decided on chicken fried steak, eggs & biscuit and challah toast with latke, eggs and bacon. Our food was served quickly and steaming hot. The challah was soft and crispy and the bacon was slab-o-rific - Philly is a great bacon town. My latke was a tad over crisp but the homemade applesauce was a religious experience! The breading on the CFS was light and crispy not soggy even smothered in white gravy(not an easy thing to do) and the scratch biscuits were light not leaden. We did not speak much, just a lot of wide-eyed glances across the table, peppered with "mmm" and "wow" and "are you going to eat that?" Definitely coming back...a lot!

Bad experience
I didn't like this place due to the poor service and unfriendly staff. Be nice to your stomach, find a different place to fix that hunger.

I wanted a burger not entrance to a club
We went at peek brunch time-our first mistake. Upon arrival we were asked "if our names were on the list?!" Really? Are you kidding me?! I didn't want to get backstage to a concert, I wanted a freaking sandwich. So, because we weren't on the list-we were forced to sit outside with the rest of the non-vip. We waited an hour, were finally seated, and I got my sandwich (which was ok). I know this place was on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives-I'm guessing that's what all the hype is about? Food was ok, service sucked.

The food is really good. The service is poor and the venue is dirty!

Great place, not service
The place is wonderful and the food is spectacular but is accommodated with a snippy hostes who has made it very clear if you're not local you're not welcome. I will not be returning as my family and I were treated very poorly for not living within 5 miles ( we're about 10 or 15 miles away)
