Best lasagna this side of the Spanish Steps. Light, delicate & perfectly prepared. Little Necks are to die for and the Grouper Putanesca is fab. Homemade Pasta Emiliana is superb. Mangia !!

Great Italian inspired menu with specials that are unique and appealing. Very hard to narrow down a menu selection. A great find. I look forward to returning again and again to work my way through their delicious entrees. Bring your own wine! And, make a reservation.

Went here on a recommendation and was very happy. The size of the portions were plenty. The food was outstanding, the specials were delicious and the staff was great. The owner takes the time to talk to you along with the manager. The place is quaint and somewhat romantic for that special dinner. If you are not looking for the place you will walk right pass it. You need to try this place. I am going back.

I paid $46.00 for a prix fix dinner as part of a group package. I had to ask for rolls. The rolls were cheesesteak rolls. Mixed green salad had too much dressing on it and two slices of tomato. Pasta dish was off - spinach gnocchi -- i had to ask what it was and the penne in vodka sauce was average. Entree was tilapia with one broccoli spear and a spoonful of rice. Dessert was amatuer. I also did not like the not-very-friendly attitude of the owner. They accept credit cards, but he would not accept mine because he didn't want to do it for the other 15 people of my group. After i made a disgruntled face, he did offer to do it for 3 of us. I was not about to go back and start negotiating with people on who was going to use credit and who was going to use cash -- i wasn't comfortable doing that. He also made it a point to tell me he loses money when guests use their credit card. I had to go to the bar next door and get cash. My thought is this: if you can't afford to offer ALL your guests the option to use a credit card - become a cash only business or close up shop. I will never go back.

the best gnocchi ever!..melt in your mouth! Wouldn't order them anywhere else. Definitely worth the trip.

Elio, the owner/chef live upstairs and cooks fresh paste everyday. As other people have said, the sweet potato gnocchi is outstanding. I have eaten here at least a dozen times, and have always loved it. Highly recommend it.. especially brining in your own great Montalcino or Montepulciano wine!!

This is the first review I have ever written, however after my dinner last night I had to. This was my first time at Hostaria and as mentioned in other reviews, the baked eggplant appetizer was amazing. For dinner I got the shrimp pesto which was very good and my girlfriend got the veal canneloni which she really liked. However good the food was, it was the service that makes this place what it is. First, the waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and specials in the restaurant...additionally, he gave us a free appetizer to try as he overheard this was our first time there (sweet potato gnocchi which was great!) and then followed that up with a 15% off for our next visit. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a quality Italian byob
