Hykel's Is A Great Place
Hykel's is great place for food, drinks and just plain fun. I'm there a good bit myself and always get a Hykel Hoagie which is excellent. Speaking of the staff, Steve the bartender is excellent. I met him when he use to work at a place in Drexel Hill and I tracked him down when left to find he's at Hykel's. Since I've been going there, the rest of the Staff and the other bartenders are very friendly and so is the cook. I recommend Hykel's to anyone who happens to be in Ardmore. You definitley enjoy it and worth the trip.

Best subs on the Mainline
This little place has the best subs and sandwiches on the mainline. The bar is a classic neighborhood bar - nothing too unique - but the subs are among the best. Takeout beer is an option w/ the subs.

A Great Little Place
Hykel's is a great little place. The food is excellent. I was in Ardmore visiting friends who just moved there and they said let try Hykel's,it was a Sunday evening and we ordered wings and a few subs which we found out are referred to "Hoagies" in Phila. I'm from St Louis who now resides in Center City and my 2 friends are from San Diego. The hoagies and wings were excellent and so was the drink selections. We arrived there at 7:30PM and only intended to have dinner and a few drinks and go, but then we got talking to the bartender who was very friendly,I think he said his name was Steve and then we got talking to a bunch of regulars who were very friendly and made us feel right at home. We ended up staying till 1AM drinking and having a plain old good time. I had to end up staying at my friend's because I missed the last SEPTA train back to Center City.If anyone goes to Ardmore, make sure you stop at Hykel's.Its off Lancaster Ave,the main business district, but its not far.I forget the other nights Steve the bartender said he works, but go there on a Sunday evening when he's there. Guarantee you'll have a great time!
