The food is certainly fresh and cooked properly. The atmosphere relaxed, downplayed, and quaint. The prices are a tad the upper side for the portions but not outrageous. I'll be back eventually but not on a regular basis.

I live with my life partner right around the corner, we tried eating here one day and it was disappointing! The waitress took forever to seat us, and the food was so salty. Don't bother, it's overrated.

There's a saying which I will get wrong, but it says something to effect of cooking is love, and you feel that in the food and atmosphere at Ida Mae's. Its laid out that way, you walk in and the chefs immediately see you and you them, I like that, feels

Finally we have a great place to have dinner in Fishtown, Ida Mae's is open now from 5pm to 10pm Wed. thru Sunday, i have been there since they opened at least once a week, and will keep going as long the food and the service continues to be as consistent
