This restaurant was quite possibly the worst "high end" restaurant I have ever experienced. First off I made reservations 2 weeks in advance and they proceeded to call me 5 times to confirm the reservation in those two weeks. I should have taken that as a warning as that was probably the best part of my experience. Then we got to the restaurant and the table wobbled all over the place, we were rushed to order our food, rushed to eat, and the check came out before the desert so rushed to leave to! The food was average but for 120$ for two people it was the worst experience with an expensive restaurant in my life. Do not go! You're better off going to Maggianos or Georgio on pine if you want great Italian food and great service.

Awesome food, I go there for the $10 lunches often. It is true the service is a bit slow and the waitresses are a bit spacey, but they're pleasant regardless. I'm a very picky eater and I've had several different dishes from there and never been disappointed. I would absolutely recommend Il Tartufo, but be ware, they're cash only! Also, if you want the $10 lunch, make sure you don't order appetizers, I made the mistake of ordering a delicious antipasto special they had and it was $40. They gave no indication of the expense when telling us about it, so make sure you ask.

Upon entering.... Very pleasant salutation. By the time we got to our table (b4 taking our coats off), Wilson (our server) met us at the table to adjust an uneven leg. Thank you! There's nothing like wobbling thru your cocktails and dinner. The mozzarella appetizer....AMAzing. Our entrees.... MMM. Linguini/white clam sauce & Pesce Misto.... THUMBS UP ilT!! Thank you GROUPON! I gifted a groupin coupon but it was returned bcuz of work scheduling. Aw but YAY for me. See ya n 4 days.

My friend bought a Groupon for this place that was for 3 appetizers and 6 entres foo $78. We thought it was an excellent deal and gladly bought it. We were excited to try out the restaurant that we always saw but never went into. Immediately after giving our name for the reservation the waitress promptly told us that since we did not have 6 people, we could not use the groupon. We thought this was rediculous and after reasoning with her, she said she "would allow it just this once" but told us that since we only have 5 people that we could only get 5 entres. This put us off but we heard the foot was really good so we decided to go ahead anyway. She sat us at the back of the almost empty restaurant right outside the Kitchen and bathrooms when there was a perfectly acceptable table right up front. From the beginning the waitress was very bossy and tried to push everything imagineable at us - upsizing our appetizers to a dinner style plate for $20 dollars, pushing expensive wine, veal instead of the ny strip steak, even complained that we declined desert before hearing the options. At one point during the evening when we asked what dressing was on a salad we particularly liked she asked if we were done and upon our confirmation that, yes, we were done, stuck her finger in the sauce and licked it to tell us what kind of sauce it was. To top it off, all night she was berating the staff underneath her. The other staff seemed to be very pleasant but one slight mistake and she would point it out in front of the entire restaurant. All in all the food was amazing but the only good thing about the waitress was the laugh we got out of our experience on the way home. At that point it was laugh or go into shock. Without that waitress I truly feel like the experience there would have been beyond compare. Until I see that she is not working when I enter, I will not be eating there again.

we live on beach in jersey and we come to Fairmont Park to hike in woods. After our hike, our mouths are watering for the most wonderful mozzerella appetizers and eggplant parm dishes which cannot be found in any other restaurant. We dine in NYC often, and the sauces and flatbreads found in Il Tartufo can't be beat!. Our friends agree!

I always bring my officemates to eat here when we have a little extra time. You can't beat the lunch special (all entrees are $9.95) price. Wish the service was a little faster sometimes, but otherwise, it's a little lunchtime gem for the Manayunk area!

When I walked in the door I thought what a tiny little place, this can't be good, but let me tell you how wrong I was and how great the food was, my husband is a steak expert and he went crazy over the filet with mushrooms and my meal was excellent! The atmosphere was kind and friendly and service couldn't of been better, I can't wait to go back again.
