Subpar Indian Restaurant - Go to West Philly
I've tried this place four times because I love Indian food and this place is so close to me. After the first two times I vowed never to come back (wrong order, poor service, not the quality I am used to from the West Philly restaurants). Third time it tasted okay but it was the wrong order. Fourth time, I ordered two dishes to go and they only provided enough rice for one dish. Called them to inquire since they previously provided enough for two and they said it was enough for two. It's just not good. If you crave Indian (which I do and it beats the Chinese restaurant next to it) it's okay. I would order from West Philly first. Paneer is overcooked, they do not provide enough rice, I'm not sure if they know how to serve proper amounts. They get the order wrong 2 out of 4 times (I only ordered 4 times).

Awesome Indian on South
My expectations weren't too high considering the generic name of the place, but man I was happily surprised. The waiter/part owner was completely passionate about describing the food and was very eager to please. I like my food spicy hot and he told me the best dish I can make extra hot for you is the Chicken Shagoti. It was Awesome; perfect temperature for me. The Somosa's were great as well as the onion fritters. The entire staff was very friendly and took a lot of pride in their preparation. Also I have never seen Chicken Tandoori come out on a sizzling plate before; and I was told it was great too.

okay
I had this food delivered; it took about 35 minutes which I've found isn't actually too bad for takeout in Philly. Tiffin and Ekta have taken longer, so I decided to try this place as it's closer to my neighborhood. I ordered naan, vegetable samosa and saag paneer. Everything was fine, but I felt like the flavors were kind of dumbed down. I'm still convinced that you can find the best Indian food in the city in West Philly. New Delhi and Sitar are better, Tiffin is good too.

Very Authentic
This is definitely THE place to get your authentic indian cuisine. Don't bother with the rest because you won't feel like you're eating indian's food at all. I'm indian myself so i have eaten at many indian restaurants around the city, nothing beats this one. Hands down! From atmosphere to the food..LOVE IT!

Lamb Samosa Finally!
Indian Restaurant being named after its cuisine is apropos. My family dined in on our first visit and now we order delivery often. The servers gave very helpful suggestions, I'd never tried lamb dumpakht , it has proved to be my fav after the flaky yet moist lamb samosa. Every course was flavorful and the presentation invited us to try more dishes and desserts that we were unfamiliar with. From Chicken Tikka Masala to dare I say again the lamb dishes the meat was amazingly tender and bursting with flavor. I'm a foodie and flag Indian Restaurant a definite must try. The universe must have been balancing out bad karma on the previous reviewer, we fortunately have experienced only great things here and look forward to much more.

The food is poor and the service is too
I have given this place three tries, being desperate since I live around the corner. Each time, the order has been NOT what I ordered and when I question them about why, they insist I ordered something else. Ughh!! I also called three times before I walked over to get their website and each time, another person proceeded to provide me with the wrong address. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN even though it is less than a block away. I will order my Indian food from West Philly in the future.
