I used to go Isla Verde frequently, not anymore. The drinks and food are too expensive. I don't mind paying if it's good, but some of the bartenders need to go back to Bartending School, their drinks are lousy, and to top it off there is a cover charge after 10:00. Did you ever hear of a restaurant charging a cover charge?

Great place to eat, food is delicious but just slightly pricy. The atmosphere is classy with a mature type of crowd. The music is great, especially when they have a live music. Overall I would recommend this locale to anyone looking for a change in atmosphere. It sure beats all the other local eateries/nightclubs in the area. Staff is also very accomadating to all of your needs.

I must have been here maybe 2 or 3 times and the place is totally different than what you have in mind. Is pretty nice, too small for my taste. The band is really good, but the space to dance is too small. The bar is very nice, but the drink are overpriced as if we were in downtown NY and they are not even that great, I actually was served in plastic..and I hate that. The menu is very nice, but not too many options on what to choose for a meal. The dinner was good, not excellect for what is worth. I think people should go and get their own opinion about the place. I was dissapointed that I went on a Saturday to take a friend who is from a different town a year ago and the place was closed. who has a restaurant closed on a saturday?

Isla Verde is not your typical place in North Philly. This place has everything your looking for on a night out. It has great atmosphere, good food, and a touch of class. Also the Friday night dj is awsome. He'll keep you on floor all night if you wish. Salsa is always on the menu with this dj, he made my night out fantastic. Hope it doesn't change!

Service was good. Food is over priced for what you get. The toast was great. Skirt steak was good for skirt steak. Atmoshere was like eating in a bar. The menu is a tease, they only have a few of the items listed available.

I have been here quite a few times. The band are great and I've never had a problem with the service. My husband even celebrated my bday there and they didn't give him a hard time to reserve tables which most places you'll have to do bottle service and they even allowed him to bring in a cake. They even brought it out with candles lit and all. They really went out there way to please us.

I love Isla Verde. The atmosphere and band are great. Service is average... there is this one bartender who is rude and takes her time attending to the customers, then gets upset when you want to order a drink. She has the worst attitude, and I actually stopped going for a while because of her. Plus, she makes the weakest drinks ever, so you don't even get your money's worth. Then we were served by another waitress who was so great, I began to go again. If it weren't for this bartender, the service would be great. Overall, everyone who loves salsa should give this place a try.
