    A great family place

my family was visiting philadelphia and we were in the downtown area, we had a great family time at jakes, their customer service made us feel like we were at our own house. the food was great, esp. the pizza. the desert was delicious and i got to draw a picture and leave my stamp behind. great time, thanks jake, we see you when we come back..

    Disappointed customer

It should be named "Jake's below average pizza". Ever time I've gone there there seems to be an excess of employees standing around conversing or on their phones texting. In other words, employees appear very lazy and disinterested. The food is overpriced and always a disappointment. The only reason people go there is the convenience of the location. On the surface, Jake's seems like a good establishment but let me tell you it is not! I haven't even mentioned the price of beer yet! It's outrageous how expensive this establishment is. I'm embarrassed to say I still go here occasionally because i live a block away and there's nothing else around. STEP YOUr GAME UP JAKE'S!

    I can't stand it anymore.

I work at the hospital across the street. I used to go to Jake's almost every day, but their food has been on a steady decline, especially after Jake passed away about 2 years ago. Every time I go there, my first though is "Why do I keep coming here?". Their salads are poor and the chicken is always dry. Their pizza is mediocre at best and often tastes like an oven with food crusted to the bottom. Their sandwiches are weak as well. The only saving grace is that the people there are nice.

    A Must when in Philly

Jake's Pizza is the best! I first had it when visiting the city in 2008, ate it everyday for the time we were here. Have been craving it since! For 2 years I waited, it is by far the best Pizza I have ever had, I can't find anything that compares to it. Now that I am back in the City from Kentucky it will be the first thing I eat today! Their service is always excellent! I recommend this place to all visiting the city.

    Restaurant good, delivery poor

Jake's food is tasty, especially the pizzas and chicken cheesesteaks. Eating at the location is usually a good experience, but we just had an extremely negative delivery experience. The person on the phone seemed to barely understand our order. When the food arrived, almost everything was wrong. When we called about the problem, we were told that we'd have to pay for them to correct their mistake, and they didn't even apologize.
