the best and always will be
Jc chinees has been my chinese food of choice since I moved to philly. I work late and they deliver til 1am and the food is always fresh and full of flavor and contrary to what other reviewers wrote I have never waited an hour and they're driver is always polite and happy no matter how long I make him wait (broken doorbell lol) he makes my night when he brings me my delicious food and don't forget the phone staff always helpful in suggesting new things.

J.C.'s Chicken Wings
We haven't been to J.C.'s for years, we went on a whim and we're so glad we did! The service is great - they're all so friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. With all the little Chinese take-outs popping up it's good to have a nice place with quality food and good people to go to. The chicken wings are out of this world and their spare ribs have such flavor that my mouth is watering for them as I write this! We were there one day ago and now we're waiting for our order to arrive today - that's how good the wings are. We had the PuPu platter and we loved it. Give it a try again if you haven't been there in a while - it was well worth it for us!

over50 years of trust
I trust JC chinese rest because 51 years of being in business says it all. owned and operated by the same family second generation . J.C. has chinese chefs from china making all there great tasting dishes from appetizers to main entrees. all staff outside the kitchen are americansand the owner is also american. The food is great and the service is excellent. 8 time winner readers choice award says it all Make J.C. your choice for chinese food. they are the best in south philly.

JC Was Good - Years Ago
JC Chinese Restaurant was, at one time, the best Chinese Restaurent in South Philly. But, things have changed. Not sure if they are under new owners, new cooks, just buying inferior food products, or what. The food is not nearly as good as it was. The taste of the food is only mediocre, on a good night. Delivery can take over one (1) hour right in the neighborhood (this means cold Chinese food delivery). The prices are much too high for mediocre Chinese food they serve. Still better than most Chinese Restaurants in South Philly though.

the best
Jc is the best chinese food around. The fresh quality of the food is amazing. The staff and owner are such great people. Jc is very clean and neat. I would tell everyone to go and try and see it for yuorself

Never eat Chinese food made by Americans
This place is absolutely poor. The food is 3 times what you'd pay at other chinese restaurants.
