New Owners in Decline
This used to be a favorite place with great reliable food. Ownership, including the very long term chef, changed hands summer 2011. They should change the name because the current food and service bears no resemblance to the past. It is no longer worth the prices they are asking. What a shame.

Mediocre food, shady business practices
Food was average, portions small, and came out only moderately heated even though there were only 2 other 2-tops seated in the entire restaurant. Bathroom was dirty. but the worst part was the surprise mandatory "tipping" policy. I used a groupon for my meal and was prepared to leave a 20% tip on the full (pre-discount) amount as I normally do. As soon as the waiter saw the groupon, he announced that there was a 20% service charge required for all groupon meals. When the check arrived, I saw that they had not only added the 20% service charge but they had also collected additional sales tax on the service charge, making the actual service charge 27% instead of 20%. The place was empty tonight and I overheard the waiter mentioning to a different table that they were keeping ownership the same but changing the name in the near future. Tiffin is cheaper, has a nicer atmosphere, and is much, much friendlier.

Not my favorite...
I love Indian food, and I am always disappointed when I go here. I know a lot of people who like this restaurant, and keep trying to give it another try but every experience I've had is the same. Food is fine, but entirely unspectacular. On top of this, though, the prices are high and the service is terrible. If they were priced like a hole-in-the-wall type of place, I'd go back. But each time I go I am left feeling dissatisfied and, frankly, ripped off.

Great Buffet and Very Reasonable.
I've only had the lunch buffet, and it's always fresh and the best Indian I ever had. The service is great. Try the Chicken Makhani it is to die for. I highly recommend this place.

Good food
The food is really good and well spiced and saucy, and they usually give decent portions. I believe it's north indian or Pakistani. The service is not so great sometimes, but has gotten much better.
