We keep going back for Great Food, Great Service, Great Value
In my extended family we have two vegetarians, three people who don't eat pork or shell fish, many omnivores, but all are discerning food lovers... and we ALL love Kingdom of Vegetarians! We have been there many times in large groups (9-13 people), and have always been greeted warmly, have never felt rushed, and have always left full and satisfied. The dishes common to typical Chinese restaurants will pleasantly surprise you with their variety of vegetables (zucchini and asparagus in their lo mein!), and depth of flavor. Kingdom does not skimp. We have several favorite dishes: House Special Wonton Soup, General Tso's Chicken, Franks Delight, Eggplant with Black Bean Sauce (with giant chunks of tofu), Roast Pork Lo Mein, and Cumin Lamb. We just picked up a ton of food last night for my dad's birthday celebration, and once again, it was a hit. We have never had a bad experience. I recommend Kingdom highly.

This place Rocks!
I've always found the service to be excellent and often eat dim sum. They keep on bringing out the food. I find it useful to keep a menu during the meal in case you want to try something that they don't bring out. Great hangover cure.

What happened?
This used to be my favorite vegan restraunt! We live about 6 hours away and have even, often times, contemplated making the treck just for kingdom of vegetarians. We were so excited that saturday we had something to do in philly, which meant having an exscuse to go to kingdom. It has totally changed, the service was poor, i felt like they were rushing us out the door before we even sat down to eat. they didnt bring us any of the food we wanted from dim sum, and kept saying "ok you done now, want the check?" after i had eaten 1 spring roll and 2 pieces of tofu. so basically my partner and i paid 30 bucks to eat appetizers worth of food...very very disappointing, a real bummer as this used to be THE place to eat if you are vegan...now its just overpriced food with crummy service

i couldnt live w/o K o V
this has got to be one of my fav places of all time. the food is absolutely delish! their 'all you can eat dim sum' is most likely the menu of heaven. amazing. the service is always great. im a regular and the owners often bring over extras like home made ice tea and tasty treats not found on the menu. i heart this place. i heart it a lot.

Disappointment!
Well since moving to Philadelphia I have been eating at kingdom of vegetarians, then after not going for a while decided to go back for a good meal. I was very disappointed. Two of us went and my partner disliked the food (even I couldn't eat it, and i eat everything) so much so that we decided to order something else for him off the menu. This second dish for him was also no good. The food has changed for the worse. We had such a poor experience we boxed the food, gave it to a homeless dude and went home to eat boca burgers. It was no good.

Great!
The food is the best and we are vegetarians, so the entire menu is wonderful. The service is great becuase there usually aren't that many people and they focus on each customer. The vaule is great. It is less than 10 dollars per person when I go. The atmosphere is normal, but the best and most unquie part is where there are students' artwork everywhere. I love to go to the K o V because there is no asking, "Is there meat in this?"

Spectacular vegetarian food - no frills
Clean, cheap, delicious - but its all about the food. Don't expect glamorous lighting and decorations. Do expect amazing vegetarian food. The veg General Chaos chicken is great and the giant walnut shrimp amazing. This isn't the sort of tasteless but healthy grilled squash and collard greens that your crunchy Aunt Rose from Portland prefers. It's simply the best fake meat on the planet!
