    Our favorite!

My boyfriend and I LOVE this place! He lives two blocks down from it and I'm so glad it's convenient to get here because we come here anytime we're craving sushi...which is often! We even came three weeks in a row because we just needed to have their red snapper appetizer! I have become quite the sushi snob over the years and can easily tell fresh fish and quality and they have AMAZING product and do it with a creative style! Getting a reservation anywhere in philly even two weeks in advance for Valentine's Day is a pain so we gave up and just decided, spur of the moment, to come here for our first Valentine's Day. We were sat right away and are almost always able to choose where we get to sit. This place deserves recognition so don't be surprised if you see this review on another review site! I love this place!

    The best sushi in Philadelphia

We have been eating at Kisso at least once month for the past six years. The food and service are consistently amazing. Alex, the sushi chef is a master. Often we ask him to give us what he thinks is best that day. We are always amazed at the bill -- the same food elsewhere would cost at least twice as much. It's by far my favorite place in the city!

Not a fancy room, but great food

Kisso never dissapoints, and we make it a point to visit at least once a month. The room is very basic, even stark, but the food is excellent, and the fish is among the freshest I've found in Philly. One of Philly's best kept secrets.

    Very good

I've ventured here many times when I lived in philadelphia. I'd have to say one of the top 3 restaurants in Philly by far. I mean if you want upscale go to Morimoto but if you want a nice neighborly sushi restaurant that serves good sushi for the value, this is the place.
