This is one of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. The dishes are not "overly worked up." Just the freshest food with enough seasonings to enhance the natural greatness of the food. Especially recommended are the seafood and the pasta, but everything is excellent. We have never been disappointed and we have dined there many dozens of times.

Fabulous fresh fish in Italian Style. If you want something other than fish, stay away. I always go for one of the whole fishes, fileted tableside (or I do it myself). Wine list has some reasonable Italians. When I want an absolutely perfect piece of the freshest fish, served in a far upscale fashion, I visit La Buca.

The food is not very good. My friends and I went there a few nights ago, we all had tricolor pasta and caesar salads, which were so bland. I could not even eat the pasta. We had the swordfish, filet mignon and chicken which were all tasteless. Plus the food took hours to come. The waiting staff was very rude and disorganized. It took one hour for them to serve us sprite, and thats after we asked several times for the drinks.
