    pleasant experience

I went here for a late lunch. I was the only one in the restaurant but the crepe I ordered (gateau du jambon - first under the classic tastes) was delicious. The lone server was attentive but not intrusive, spoke French, and was otherwise friendly. Additionally, everything was clean. The price was moderately expensive but what do you expect in Rittenhouse? I will definitely return.

    So disappointing!

My husband and I were really looking forward to trying this place out with our Groupon voucher. We drove in from NJ just for this. From the first step into the place we were surprised that it had no atmosphere at all. We ordered dessert crepes and tea. The crepes were very stiff and cracked apart when trying to eat. The tea arrived very late, almost at the end of our dessert. We were about ready to give up on the tea and wished we had. It was $5 a cup even though it was just English breakfast tea. Had we known they had Lipton tea for $2 we would have had that. When I asked for milk for the tea it was another very long wait. The place only had a three occupied tables. I can't understand why the service was so poor. Overall, it was a real letdown. From the other reviews I've read it sounds very inconsistent in food and service.

    Poor customer service

I went there for the 4th times with my friend who was the first time ever experiencing crepes. I was excited to show her new food hoping she would enjoy the lunch together.... However it ended up the worst lunch I have ever had with my friend... The quality of food used to be great. I have tried 3 other places in Philadelphia and I believed that this place has the best food. However the quality of food has gotten a lot worse shockingly. I assume they were a little busy that time so trying to cook quickly. Their crepes used to be much cranchier. Our waiter looked frustrated because he couldn't handle even about 5 tables on Wednesday lunch time. He was giving us such a rude attitude. He was not nice AT ALL. He forgot what I asked for twice. The worse thing he said to us was "Okay check or dessert which one do you want?! I am busy now!" It was when we decided to have some dessert and asked for dessert menu after asking for our check. The entree was like appertizer size for $14.00. It was my 4th and last time to have food from here. I will never ever ever go back or try to bring new friends here.

food good but not worth the money

I went recently using the $30 for $15 Groupon deal. The restaurant itself was deserted when we got there, so service was pretty quick. The crepes were thin and buttery.

    Better Than Beau Monde Creperie

Just went here with my French class. If you want great tasting food come here. Very private atomosphere. A great place for couples. Would be a nice place for Valentine's Day. Unlike Beau Monde this is not Americanized. If you know French they will speck French to you. I love it! I am definitely going back!

How is this place still in business?

The crepes are bland and undercooked, the service ranges from absentminded to nonexistent, the prices are way too high considering the quality of the food, and the restaurant is about as cold and uninviting as a haunted igloo.

    Big Disappointment All Around

Went to this place with a group for movie night. Couldn't hear the movie. Salad was generous. Crepes were eggy and soggy. Go to Beau Monde if you want crepes in Philadelphia.
