excellente!
I eat here whenever my family or friends want 'authentic cheese-steaks'. I cannot eat pats or geno's cause they don't have sharp provolone or long-hots, so I wander down to la lupe and have a salted bork or goat taco and a smoothie! never had a problem with them and the quality is great!

Love the Tacos!
I read the negative reviews and I can't agree with them. My experience at La Lupe have been Positive. Food was great. I may have tasted every different type of taco on that menu list. ~ Service could use some improvement but as long as I'm eating good food, I could care less.

Best in Philly!
I have been a frequent customer at La Lupe for the past 5 years. Hands down, best Mexican food in Philly and the value is unbeatable. Huge portions for very cheap prices, and its AUTHENTIC mexican food! To boot, its a BYOB, so u cant beat that! I've read some of the negative reviews on here and I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience at La Lupe! I recommend the nachos supremos, chicken burrito, and carne asada (our "usuals" every time we order).

and expensive to boot!
When my father was in town we stopped here hoping to get a quick order of quesadillas and some rice and beans. The woman taking my order spoke absolutely no english (luckily I speak Spanish, however my father does not). Then, after waiting close to 45 minutes for a simple cheese quesadilla she plopped down what looked like cream cheese stuffed into stale tacos. I couldn't take more than two bites.

Best authentic Mexican food in Philly!
Taco Tuesdays are the way to go! You can't beat a legit taco for $1.50. Being a Mexican from Texas, I gotta say this is the first authentic Mexican food I have had in Philly. The tacos were awesome and fulfill that craving for semi-greasy, but delicious food from south of the border. The environment is just like a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant should be. Basically, you gotta go!

great food...great fun!
I've brought church mission groups to La Lupe for many years. Dozens of hungry teenagers wanting to eat and be loud. La Lupe's staff couldn't have been more accomodating. The kids love the food and I appreciated the price. I highly recommend this restaurant if you need to feed an army or just yourself! I'm only there once a year with the big loud group so it's sure to be chill when you are there!
