delicious food
Maybe it has taken the Chef a while to perfect his food, but today I had a delicious dish, prepared to go. It was excellent! I think this restaurant is getting better all the time. If you tried it before and were not happy, I would recommend giving it another try.

Good Food, Nice Atmosphere
This is a pretty little place in a strip mall. Nice people - good food and an interesting menu. They may try to do too much and possibly should cut down on their choices.

Really Good Vietnamese Food
La Vang started out serving mostly French-Vietnamese fusion, predominantly French entrees with an assortment of Vietnamese appetizers. Recently they added pho, and soon after that they completely expanded their Vietnamese menu. This is a good thing, because the Asian offerings are delicious and inexpensive. If you were waiting for La Vang to become the Vietnamese restaurant this area desperately needs, the wait is over. The menu has been overhauled, the tastes are fresh, and the prices are friendlier.

Poor experience
The place caught my eye at the beginning because of the open-kitchen scene and it's BYOB. I would have to say that the menu is abnormally long for a small restaurant, which tells me that the restaurant is not really specialized in any particular food. The food was low quality for such high price. The desserts that my 2 companions and I had taste like the owner bought them from a local supermarket and made a nice presentation on the plate. I have dined at so many restaurants and this is not one of the best. I don't really recommend this place. You'll be better off dining at another bistro/restaurant for a better quality and price.

A Hidden Treasure
Shrouded in a Willow Grove strip mall, the undistinguished exterior is wonderfully contrasted with La Vang Bistro's colorful, enigmatic interior. The atmosphere is absolutely delightful, and now that I have discovered this, I cannot imagine dining anywhere else. The menu is quite long, and almost overwhelming. Fortunately, however after a tedious process of elimination, both myself and my three dining companions found the cuisine adventurous, and unforgettable, from start to finish.

Overrated for low quality
This is a place that looks much better on paper than in practice. Neither myself nor my 3 dining companions enjoyed our meals, and all of us were annoyed at the high cost for the mediocre food. La Vang would be better off focusing on the quality of their food rather than on the length of their menu.

Our new favorite restaurant
Friends told us about the great experience they had at La Vang but it took us a while to get here. A group of 6 of us met a few weeks ago for a great meal and an evening made all the better by the friendly, attentive service. The menu is exotic and unique but not so "oriental" as we expected - maybe due to the French influence in Vietnam. All 6 of us loved our appetizers and entrees - and the desserts were fabulous! We're happy to have such a gourmet delight in our own neighborhood -- and we are taking other friends there tonight.
