I don't know what the fuss is all about, my food was average, it's a bunch of Albanians calling the food Italian. there are other places that are much better and worth the wait...

It was the perfect evening. Everyone raved about the variety of food choices and how delicious everything was from the salad/soup to desserts.

Good fresh food cooked to my specifications. Nice waiters and a hands on owner. Prices are great. Bring you best wine with dinner. Very relaxing after seven PM. Ask for the back room by the window.

First time visiting, girlfriend took me for surprise and that's what I got. Surpriseed that we had a table at 845 and didn't get seated until 940. Very loud, not the place to go if you want to have a conversation. Battling others loud voices and the sound of dishes slamming was very annoying. The only think keeping me sane was we were not the only ones waiting. I figured the food has to be worth this wait. Sure enough, it was! Waiter was good, food came out properly timed and the quality was great. Bill was $50 for 2 app, 2 ent, and a doub espresso was a nice surprise. Would not go back, however, if you want the food, get take out. The mushrooms app was to die for.

The food is fabulous. Not overly fussy, but fresh and tasty. La Viola is a scene. If you enjoy being with lots of other people who are having a great time, laughing, enjoying food and wine then you will love it. It has an energy all its own. If you are looking for quiet, privacy and don't want to have eye contact with anyone else in the restaurant, this place is not for you. And only La Viola has Dominic -- a gentleman and a scholar. When he recites the menu it's like listening to a great actor deliver lines. My husband and I have brought lots of friends here and we all LOVE IT!

To celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding, a group of took to her to dinner at La Viola. We had reservations for 8 or 9 people at 6pm. 3 of us arrived at 5:50 and were told the reservation was supposed to be for 5pm (the time we all get off work!) We then were told they only had set a table for 8, and that there would be a problem if we were 9 (we were 8). The hostess was rude, and then kept eyeing our table and whispering to the 4 servers all just standing around at the entrance. Our party arrived one by one, and with each arrival, we were rudely asked by a server "when will everyone else be here?" We decided to order appetizers while waiting for the last 2 people to arrive, and the server then quipped" where is the girl that was sitting there", while one of us was in the bathroom! He was reluctant to place the order for the apps, but did. When we all were settled in, we were rushed to order dinner, making us all think the whole meal would be rushed. Fortunately, it was not, and the food was quite good. But, the attitudes presented by the hostess and servers make this a place I will never frequent again.

La Viola is my stand-by when I want good food at a good value. I always love what I eat, and I'm always impressed by the wait staff. My favorite wait person is the little man who reads the specials at La Viola West - he's always so sweet. The spaces are definitely small and of course the restaurants (both La Viola and La Viola West) get packed on the weekends, so I usually end up going during the week. Or if I really want the food on the weekend, I'll just order it to go. Some of my favorites are the mushroom appetizer, penne alla caruso, the spaghetti with shrimp and truffle oil, lobster ravioli, or whatever they have as the pasta special. I do think that La Viola West has a slightly better menu, but if you know the menus, you can usually get whatever you want at either of the restaurants. If you haven't tried La Viola yet, you should!
