Best BYOB in Philly!
Food is great, service is great. Seriously some of the best fish I have ever had! I get whatever their fish of the day is and somehow it gets better everytime! Bring a few bottles of wine and some friends and you will always have a great night!

Do Not Eat Here!
I made a reservation at La Viola for Sat night. After getting there and being told that my table would be ready in 5 minutes, my party and I ended up waiting over an hour for our table! Everytime we asked the hostess the problem, she kept saying, 5 more minutes, 5 more minutes. We asked to speak to the manager, who did not come over, nor did he apologize for the wait. No reparations nor acknowledgement was made about our long wait. When we were finally seated, the table was too small. The whole experience was unacceptable. I will not be retuning there.

i would not recommend it
i went there and was like hey it seems pretty nice and then i got my food. i do not think it was that worth it and it clearly said shoprite on it. it had stuff in it that wasnt supposed to be in it. the waiters were also very weird.

Great night!
This was my first time dining at LaViola and I really enjoyed it. The service was awesome. Everyone was very attentive especially Dominic. He is a very nice gentleman....very courteous. I had the Perch which was delicious and my boyfriend had a chicken dish which was also delicious. There was not one thing that I did not like about the meal. I liked the ambiance. It was a very busy night but I like people around me.

Noises Up
Impossible to enjoy the good food when noise from huge parties fills the small room. Do not even consider for a couple trying to enjoy a romantic dinner. And service is often rude. Very disappointing atmosphere because food is very good. Could work for early dinner during week. Definitely avoid weekends.

large group
17 of us were seated quickly as reserved at the ample tables with white tablecloths. Our set menu had delicious choices, was presented with class, and had the best service we have ever experienced!! Contratulatios La Viola.

great value and tableclothes too
This place has found its niche by serving inexpensive basic Italian food in an atmosphere that is normally not availble at these prices. This is a terrific place for young diners because it is romantic without breaking the bank. that's why it has lines.
