What a Find
Small in size but big in flavor and value. Soup was delicous and large portioned. Hand drawn noodle were fabulous. When in Philly again will definetely be there for another bowl beats dimsum anytime

Best place in the area
Lan Zhou flavors their noodle soups differently than any other places in the neighborhood - they are much fuller and tastier. The people are also nice. Bring some beer along, it goes well with the noodle soups, and then practice pretending like you don't hear the loud smacks of the noodles in the back. I'm trying to turn myself into a local, in hopes that eventually they'll teach me how to draw the noodles. In terms of the taste-value combination, Lan Zhou is my favorite place in the city. The other dishes are also pretty good, but the noodle soups are really what makes the place special.

OMG good
We stopped here while on vacation because we wanted to try something we hadn't had before and there were quite a few Zagat awards in the window. We both ordered the noodle soup and watched the guy in the back making the noodles by hand. It was the best soup we've ever had. It was so good that we went back the next night too. We look forward to going back to Philly and stopping here again for sure!! Our dinner cost $11.75 for two people.
