Lovash

Our server was beyond attentive and incredibly nice. The food was tasty but definitely too salty (and I really like salt). Portions were filling. Would I go back? Maybe...but I'd definitely ask them to undersalt the food.

The food was okay, a little salty though. But the service was so poor if we ever go back it will only be for take-out. First, we brought a bottle of wine and while the waiter poured it he kept saying "glug glug glug." Second, we ordered samosas for our appetizers and naan to go with the meal. He brought out the entrees and we asked about the samosas and the naan. He said the naan was on it's way out, but clearly he just forgot about it because we waited for about 20 minutes while our food got cold. Finally the manager awkwardly apologized and complained about the service staff, but did offer us 50% off our meal. Our waiter never returned and it just got very uncomfortable; we had to ask the manager for the bill eventually, and remind him about his discount offer, but at that point he decided to only give us 25% off. Not bad, but considering he first said 50% it was kind of odd.

Unassuming and unpretentious. Walked in off the street on a whim and had a great lunch. For ten bucks, the food was excellent quality and more than ample. Good ambience too.

I disagree with the reviewer who said they had bad service. We have not encountered anything but attentive and courteous service at Lovash. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. Our meals have always been served promptly, piping hot and beautifully presented. This is good quality Indian food where there isn't a huge Indian population. Its a BYOB restaurant which is actually affordable. Give this place a try and know you will be pleased.

I've never been disappointed with Lovash, except recently when they raised their prices again. The food is excellent, the service good, and the atmosphere okay, but not worth the $25-35 a meal you're going to spend.

I recently went out to dinner here on a week night with a friend. We both enjoyed our food, they have good vegetarian options. Also, our server (who may have been the owner?) was very attentive. He let us sit there for almost 45 minutes after we were done just to finish our conversation. The inside is very small, we were talking a bit loud, and it felt like other people were listening in. OH the mango lassi was 1) amazing and 2) giant.

This was my first experience with indian cuisine. The atmosphere was nice, and the food was decent, but the poor service overshadowed all of the pros. The waitress wasn't even fluent enough in english to say ' i don't know '. It was clear that the rest of the staff spoke english fairly well, so I'm not sure what happened, but also it was clear that the server had not been waiting tables very long. The food took a little while, but it was good, I would go again but request a different server.
