    I liked it

Overall, I liked this place, the atmosphere was good for a small local pizza place, the waiter was nice enough, quick and correct. The food and price was right, the menu was big enough. It's exactly what it claims to be, a low key, byob pizza place. The crust is excellent, the veggies were fresh, too much cheese though

    Child friendly? No!

I was party to a disgraceful episode at this pizza restaurant. Following a request by a customer with children for space for a stroller, the customer was told to get out of the restaurant and take his (profanity) children with him. This episode was followed by a fist fight in which the customer was beaten about the face and eyes. The children were petrified by this violence as was I. Noteworthy, a number of other patrons left the restaurant sickened by the hostility they witnessed. I cannot recommend Mama Palma to anybody.

    Not At All Family Friendly

I went there with my family although they served water in sippy cups they were very unfriendly. They made us wake our sleeping baby as they would not allow strollers in the restaurant. When the baby woke up we placed her in a highchair and were cursed out (yes in front of the kids) by the owner for not moving her fast enough.

Great Food, not so good service

The pizza here is absolutely wonderful. I believe it's the best I've ever had in terms of brick oven places. However, the service is the pits. They are extremely rude and are short with you when they are busy. Basically, they want you to scarf down your food as quickly as possible, pay and get out. Also, they do not accept credit cards which is really annoying. If you have a rather large group of people eating there, you have to pay with cash only.

Very Mean to Families with Kids

This restaurant is NOT kid friendly. We have eaten there before with two VERY well behaved children (5&7). They made it clear that they wanted us to eat and run. We were very rushed. We last tried to visit with another family with one child and although there was 3 open tables the owner told us that for us the wait was 40 minutes. He then sat a group that came right in behind us at one of the open tables. I don't care how good the food is they are impolite.

    So Good!

I went here for lunch with a friend. We were greeted right away by the friendliest hostess ever. We both ordered small pizzas and shared them. The caramelized onion/prosciutto pizza was fantastic. The sauce/onions were amazing. I'd order it again. The spinach/goat cheese pizza was super good as well! There are so many neat pizza combinations that I want to try. There is a peking duck pizza, a sante fe pizza, and a bbq chicken pizza. Basically, this place is like California Pizza Kitchen except it's not a chain, the pizza tastes fresh, and the waiters aren't wearing stupid shirts. Our waiter was a scenester looking guy who was sort of quiet but super on point. Water was refilled. We were happy. Everything was great. I'll go there again...it's down the street. Cash only, but they have an ATM. They have BYOB wine, and some beer (Magic hat #9 is there), and they have an espresso machine. All in all, a really good place for pizza.

    In and Out

My experience at Mama Palma's was a disappointment to say the least. Being the last member of my party to arrive I sat down to a table of hurried friends and pushy staff. Forced to order before my jacket was barely off, the staff continued to harry us up until the moment we [drop]ped our forks. Our order of ceasar salad was taken away without any consideration of whether we were finished or not. It was made very clear they wanted us out. On top of that, the food was underwhelming. The pizza was dry with little sauce and was not hot. The toppings were only alright the melted mozzarella was tasty but the eggplant and chicken were extremely bland. Overall the experience was sub-par and the chances of revisiting are slim to none. (Also, after all the rushing, there wasn't a person waiting to be seated and there were actually empty tables!)
