Manny Brown's (CLOSED)

After reading the tragic write-ups on the site, I was preparing the worst when I attended. My party of 20 were attending to celebrate a birthday and play so Quizzo. On entering the restaurant, we were immediately seating and within minutes of our drink order we were served. When our waitress came to take our order she was young, friendly and polite. We had some complex orders and there was not one mistake. She also asked if those who ordered salads wanted them with the appetizers or with the meals. Tables where also being bussed with seconds of the tenants leaving them. I have to say that the previous reviewers paint a bleak picture of an amazing restaurant and I would recommend anyone to this place. I have even purchased their dinner and a movie deal as gifts for people that is how impressed I am of Manny Brown's in Neshaminy Mall.

it seems to me that except for a select few responders that you are all a bunch of whiny yuppie pricks...the same kind who like to stomp in on other people's hangouts and think that you "belong" there. manny's is a bar. you go there to drink and sample the traditional and non-traditional bar fares they offer. you don't go there to get a salad! if you're that worried about your weight that you want to eat a salad then maybe you should do some research and realize that those six mai tais you just sucked down have more calories than two of their cheeseburgers. i have never had an unpleasant experience at manny's. the margaritas are amazing and the bar tenders are always pleasant...they even remember our names when we go there and know exactly what we want to eat or drink. if you have such a problem with the way the place looked or if you were skeeved out by plates on a table then maybe you should have gotten up and left. if you want some fancy smansy place to take your girlfriend [or if you're one of those high maintenance girls] then mosie on down the block to one of the million yuppie joints on spruce street.

I will always reccomend Manny Brown to anyone. The food was delecious, the service was good and the value was exceptional. i think it is a shame that people only respond when things are negative. I have reccomended Manny Brown to plenty of people and everyone enjoyed themselves.

I went to Manny Browns for a night out with a group of friends. Seeing that after being seated there was only one server to the place (or so it seemed) it also looked like he was the cook too. The server tried to be as efficient as possible, but where was a manger? Tables were left with dishes on them the whole time we sat there! The food was not that great, and it took a while for it to come out. Since I only got a salad, mine should have been brought out right away! Nope, mine was last. Not very good service!

I just wanted to chime in. The place is cold, smoke-filled (anyone heard of vents?), and the young inexperienced staff can't even get orders right. I had to wait for so long to get my food that me and my boyfriend were about to leave. Another time, they just never came to collect the payment. Ever. We were just going to walk out without paying. Another time, I asked for a take-out box and it didnt come for so long that I had to go fetch it myself. Why do we keep returning, you ask? Because its right next to the movie theater, and sometimes while waiting for a movie, we just go in there to pass the time. Unfortunate that the place is still around. I guess people like me are supporting it :(. I hope the owner reads this and hires some new staff - really.

Servers are not there to serve the guest..they are there to sit and socialize!! You wait....and then wait and then wait some more, all this time they are sitting, in the dining room!!! and socializing. You finally do order and you finally do get your food and it is ice cold, old food and no one ever checks back on you! This was our 2nd and last attempt..only reason we went this second time was because we got a gift certificaate from work. Save your money and frustrations and go elsewhere for a good meal and relaxing time out!

I signed up as a member to this site just to give this place my worst possible recommendation. I went there on a holiday, and they were very short-staffed. Even then, the service on their outdoor patio was truly mediocre. They managed to turn a simple American tex mex experience into a greek tragedy. My table, and the other four on the patio all had complaints; we all had to go get our own silverware and had to take bottles of ketchup off of abandoned, non-bussed dirty tables. Drinks took half an hour, from an empty bar. A third of our order was never entered into the system. Upon confrontation, after a long search, our server blamed the bartender for a missing round of drinks. A table for two at the far end of the patio sat for 30 minutes without a drink order, and watched closer tables order and recieve their food. I promise you, menupages readers, that if I ever see service this poor again I will return to this page and update this review. It's worth going and ordering soft drinks just to watch... but don't expect refills.
