Went there for restaurant week. Picked it because they offered 4 item selections instead of 3. Good appetizer, tender and flavorful steak about average, delicious salad, and dessert was OK (not remarkable). Servers were very good. But I was disappointed in the only choice of potato being mashed potatoes that, based on their flavor (or lack of it) and texture seemed to be re-hydrated out of a box. I ignored them after the first forkful. Seating near the door was cold and the bench with the overstuffed pillows is not kind to the lower back. Bar drinks were extremely stingy especially given the price. All in all, I did not feel the delivery justified the expense, even for restaurant week.

Went there during restaurant week for late dinner. Sat at the bar and ordered a Crab Bisque, Marmont salad, 12 oz Ribeye steak (med-rare) and decided to choose desert later, which caused some confusion with the waitress and she had to ask the bartender if that was ok. Got my soup in a quickly along with some bread and some sort of an oil dip; the bread was a good addition to the soup and as such I would have liked it to be warmer. I enjoyed the soup which was very good, both quality and quantity wise, along with an accommodating glass of Magic Hat #9. After soup came the salad which had a bit sour taste to it for the purpose of relieving the last bits of soup taste to have my precious taste buds ready for the coming steak. I had finished my beer while I ate and ordered a Stella Artois to complement the steak. When the steak arrived (I must note that the staff had perfect timing for bringing out the meals - not to soon and not too late, although that may change depending on how many diners there are at any given time). With it's large wooden handle firmly seated in my closed palm I used the sharp steak knife to cut through the soft meat of a properly prepared medium-rare steak. It parted with the larger piece easily, with little effort. That piece quickly made it's way into my oral cavity and the chewing started. Very nice meat and I confirmed now with my taste buds what my eyes and hands already knew: this was indeed a very well prepared steak. The steak came with a portion of mashed potatoes that were good but I had to add a bit of salt to adjust to my preference. I did not finish the steak so I got it boxed along with the bread pudding I picked for desert. The waitress was very nice and attentive. She introduced herself from the start, which was a very nice gesture. Her name it Tee(sp?). The bartender was also attentive and helped out when he could. The beer selection is less-than moderate and contains mostly TV-beers, also there is no tap but the abundance of liquor compensates for that just a bit. The temperature was a bit hot, not a major nuisance though. Conclusion: Very good and attentive service with very good timing. Very good food clearly prepared with care. Again, very good food. Bar stools could have been more comfortable, temperature could have been down a few degrees and with some respectable beer, at least bottled, this place would be near-perfect!

Marmont, located in the heart of old city, lacks quality. From the young, sometimes accomodating staff to the fatty cuts of filet, which are hardly ever cooked right. Crab bisque tasted okay, but i have had better soups at Houlihans. The filet, i ordered well done, was soft and mushy, and quite displeasing. Only plus side to the experience was the alcohol, and the sometimes attractive young ladies whom walk in, just to walk out in a few minutes. For the price of the food here, one may eat at a Ruths Chris, or a Chops, or a Capital Grille, and have a far better experience with a far better staff. Staff is a bunch of college kids whom have little to no adequate or manners, though you show them the utmost. Have to ask more than once for things. cheese steaks rolls seemed to be the cooked, frozen variety which just need heating. Overall 2.5-5 stars

I haven't been to Marmont in about six months and after going the other night....I was thrilled to see they have renovated the inside (which it desperately needed) and updated the menu with some creative dishes (cheese steak spring rolls are a must....). The food has always been good and now I think it's great....the atmosphere has also gotten a facelift...the lighting is much better and the music has a great vibe to it. You have to check this place out any night of the week, but my favorite is now Friday after work (happy hour) with dinner and drinks to follow.

The food was excellent especially the filet mignon, it was tasty, seasoned well and cooked as requested. The other people I went with had the NY Strip and were also very happy with their steak too.
