Have been to Marra's many times over the past 55 years. Hard to rate, off and on quality. Had pizza last night (take-out), tasted like it was left over from Monday. Most disappointing pizza I have ever had from there. I'll stay away for a while and see if it improves.

Went last week for my bday, every dish besides the mussels were subpar. I was so surprised, I had the eggplant Parm, disappointing, chicken marsala tasted sour, the gnocchi was over cooked and even frech fries. Would neve go back very disappointed this was a South Philly land mark it needs to be knocked down:(

After reading some poor reviews I have to say that if you are going there get a PIZZA! That is the menu item that it is designed around.

Went to Marra's MANY years ago and didn't like it. I decided to give it another try after all these years and still did not like it. The pasta had so much sauce on it that I could not see the pasta...........if you are going to put that much sauce on pasta, you may as well skip the pasta and just drink the sauce. The flavor was nothing to rave about.....I will NOT be back.

Marra's survives off of a reputation that long since expired. The portions are large. But who cares how large a portion is of cold lasagna? (send it back, and they'll put it in the microwave for ya). Get some Stouffer's at the grocery store and heat it up yourself.

I've been to Marra's before but always stayed in the restaurant. Tonight I had travelingvisitors so "take out" seemed to be a better idea. Pizza was ordered, and though it took the place longer to make it, it was very good. However, the pizza didn't have all of the add-ons ordered and the price was above what I thought it should be. Don't think I'll order take out again.

We really enjoyed our dinner start to finish. We started with a glass of wine to toast 30 years of marriage. Rosa, our waitress, brought us a basket with fresh Italian bread from Sarcones Bakery. We had to try a pizza, after all when in Rome, so we went with a white pizza with spinach & garlic...the crust was light, crispy, the spinach was fresh, making for a delicious appetizer. After looking over the large menu, we each chose a veal entree, I had the Veal Italiano topped with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe with a side of spinach sauteed in garlic & olive oil...fantastic. My husband had the Veal Florentine with prosciutto, spinach, mushrooms and a side of angel hair pasta, the best Veal Florentine he's ever had! The only downfall was both our veal's had some grisstle in them, it sometimes can't be helped. We tried to save room for dessert, but were so full, had to take the unfinished portions home to enjoy a second time. We had a wonderful dinner and would not hesitate to go back for more in the future! Thank you Marra's!!
