Best Pizza in South Philly
Marra's has the best pizza in south philly. I go there just for the pizza!

One of the best in South Phila!!
I have been eating at Marras for 35 years and you cant go wrong! Very good food no matter what you order. This is the epitome of South Phila. style Italian cooking! No glitz here,just great food and lots of it for a very reasonable price. Best pizza in Phila.too!! Is all I can say is thats Italian!! Buon Appetito!!

poor delivery
over two hours for delivery. their food is good, but not that good. no excuse to take that long. incompitence at its best in south Philly.

If you want real Italian food, this is the place to get it
I just noticed all the bad reviews Marra's has on this site, and I'm disgusted. Who are these people? Certainly not Italians with South Philly experience. Yes, the waitresses are people too. They get annoyed when you come in with an attitude acting like you're too snotty for the place. As someone who grew up in Philly with many other Italians, I see this as the most homey restaurant I know. I love going in and hearing them scream to each other in broken English. The food is excellent. You will not find better. Big portions too. I always end up taking at least half of mine home. Its also the cheapest around. This is hands down my favorite restaurant of all time, and I will continue to go back. Really, the waitresses aren't bad at all. They may be a little busy, but they're always friendly. You must be really difficult to get bad service here. If you haven't been to Marra's yet, give it a try. If you're looking for good Italian food and a nice old fashioned Italian atmosphere, this is the place for you.

Don't worry about the wait staff, folks...
Marra's is decent without being too pricey. I don't find the wait staff rude - just matter of fact. How about this: order your food without expecting to waited on like a VIP. In other words, welcome to South Philly... (Honestly, I find this place refreshing after the fawning servers you encounter elsewhere...)

Idiot wait staff
Even though I live in South Philly, I never have the time to go "up the Avenue". Found myself there one day and decided to order and take home a pizza. Waited 35 minutes before the waitress realized the pizza maker wasn't there! Saw him finally making it, watching him put it in the oven then cancelled my order. Waitress said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Told her I had already waited 40 mins and left.

Family place
My family and I went on a Thursday night. There were quite a few filled tables, and the service was great for the crowd. We promptly had our waitress take our order and get our drinks. The food arrives fast. Everyone was very nice. I think the negative reviews were from negative people because this staff is attentive and nice if you are nice to them. The cannolis are fantastic. The plates offer lots of food, and it is a bargain in the city for your family. We'll keep coming back. Don't listen to the reviews. Try it for yourself. All family members went home stuffed and happy thanks to the staff at Marra's!
