Poor service
Have been to Matyson in visits to Philly in the past. Always like the food. We had a non-stop nightmare with a waiter who was alternately disruptive, unhelpful, slow, loud and annoying. Sometimes all of the above. Our guests were so appalled that they asked if we planned to tip. Suggest Matyson focus maybe on the service side of the operation.

Wonderful secret
This BYO is one of our favorites in Philly. Great food and service. I can't count the times I've eaten there, but it's always a pleasure and never disappoints. The weekly menu is a fantastic deal and definitely worth the price.

Great lunch spot
Matyson offers a good selection of tasty items for lunch. The quality of the food is well beyond what the restaurant charges for it. The service could learn to be more efficient as it is difficult to have a 'quick' lunch there. Make reservations ahead of time.
