McCloskey's Is Awesome
Ahhh yes! Good ole McCloskey's. I moved to Ardmore in May 1991 and went in McCloskey's. Back then it was a neighborhood shot & beer place which was ok. The end of July 1991, they closed and renovated it and it became a nice Tavern Restuarant. Over the last 20 years it became my hangout. The food is great,service is great. The bartender was John, who came when they re opened and he was a great bartender plus he scheduled the live music and alway scheduled great bands. I took family & friends there many times for lunch n& dinner plus I became friends with Joe the owner and always have a great time. In May 2010, Joe sold it to a family who worked there over the years and they have kept up the McCloskey's tradition. They improved the seating, installed more flat screen TV's so its great to watch games plus they just put in "slider" windows in the front so when the weather is nice, just open them up and let the nice air in. I recommend McCloskey's for lunch, dinner or just drinks. Great food, great service and great people.
