Even after 4 tries
Disappointing, the absolute poorest service, nonexistent at best. Food is not fresh, all frozen.

Disappointing
Had dinner with family for a birthday tonight. Food was OK, but nothing special, and service was so poor that our waiter appoligized because he realized how bad it went.... Never again.

Very tasty food
I'm really surprised at alot of the reviews. For my wife and I this is one of our favorite restaurants.We always go to the philadelphia location. The food is always tasty. The service has always been good. I would recommend this restaurant anybody. the chilean sea bass is excellent in the calamari to die for.

uninspired
First the pluses--the fish is fresh and the menu has a nice variety; the ambience is a takeoff on the once great old seafood houses and a nice family outing or a place to take Mom on Mother's Day. The downside is you don't go to this restaurant for innovative food. Most of the presentations are uninspired and there are better seafood places in and aorund Philly.

Don't Believe The Hype
The service was worst than the food. Our waiter totally forgot about us. He was MIA for about 15 minutes. When he appeared he said our food was coming right out it was another 15 minutes and it wasn't crowded at all. My date's crab cake was burned, the bread was stale and the environment was cold and unfriendly. It was a bad food experience. I was really looking forwrd to a pleasurable evening but the food ruined it for me. I will never go there again.

Nice place, mediocre food
My wife and I went here and ordered the fried oysters for an appetizer and then the tuna and crab cakes as our main courses. The food was certainly fresh but the preperation was fairly average. The fried oysters were too salty and the presentation wasn't great. The tuna was actually very good but for the price the portion was quite small. The crab cakes were ample and were probably the best item ordered. Don't get me wrong, I'm not as snobby as this might sound but when you go to a place that bills/presents itself as 5 star cuisine but then doesn't deliver to that quality you should let others know. Some people might think M&S is great, which is fine, but I've been to enough great restaurants in NYC, Chicago and DC to know this place isn't what it claims to be.
