Family had a Christening here and filled the room. The servers never came to the table to ask if you wanted something to drink. We even had to go get our own water. Some of the rolls served were still frozen and not even heated. I wouldn't call it sauce or gravy that was on the pasta, since it was very acidity. The dressing on the salad was not good at all. The portion of the meal was very small. The best part was the cheese cake. Would not recommend this restaurant at all.

We had the jumbo lump crabcake amd the scallop& shrimp w/ radiatore pasta both excellent in flavor and taste .....service was on point ......the chef even came out to say hello and helpful w/ selling desserts .....we will be back , Excellent !!

My mother has been taking us to dinner and a show for Christmas for many years now. This year the dinner was at Medora's Mecca. Our party was 18 people, however we almost had the restaurant to ourselves. The servers were courteous, although not as attentive as we might have liked. The food did not all make it to the table at the same time. We enjoyed a few carafes of the house white and red wines. The vegetables were nicely cooked, my wife had a chicken dish that she was somewhat disappointed with. My daughters Pasta in a Rosato Sauce was excellent and I was very pleased with my filet. The filet was nicely done and medium rare as requested. Coffee and desert was good. The tip was not included in the bill, a nice surprise and they requested that the tip be paid in cash; a minor inconvenience since we had not planned on it, but had the cash on hand. The restaurant feels a bit dark and dated inside, however we had a very nice dinner and left for the show feeling satisfied after a nice family meal.

I was disappointed in the food but I am writing this review because I am angry about the service. My angel hair pasta was mushy- cooked way beyond it should have been. When I asked for new pasta, the waiter, acted like I was imposing on him. And that is just one example. For the 20% mandatory tip they added to our group's bill, it would have been nice if he was courteous, not surly. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told that there was no manager on duty. You are kidding, right? No, not kidding. And I'm not going back to Medora's Mecca ever. Think I'll go back to Ralph's.

Had the Veal Carol Ann for 2011 Thanksgiving dinner. It was excellent! Stopped at the Italian Market and picked up cheese and meats to make it when I get home. I make pretty good sauce but their's was great. Will be back for more next Philly trip.

My hubby and I were there within the last 2 weeks and we've been there a few times here and there over the years. On our last visit, I had Fettucine Alfredo.......which was passable and would be better if they didn't put so much green (parsley?) in it. My husband had pasta and sausage and he did not like it...........the sausage was overboiled to the point it was flavorless. Years ago when the old lady (rest her soul) made the sauce, it was the BOMB..........it was the best sauce I ever tasted in my life.........to the point where I left not a drop on the plate because I sopped up every last bit with the bread............which is something I have NEVER done anywhere else............it's a real shame they did not keep her recipe because after she died, it was never the same.......my neighbors turned us onto the restaurant back then and it was always packed with people........gone are the good old days :( Forgot to add about their Caesar salad........it would taste a lot better if they would use cheese shavings instead of the way they make it, which has so much grated cheese on it that it feels like you're eating mush instead of salad.

My father and i went to the Eagles game last night. We parked and took a slow stroll to Medora's. I had the Straccitelle soup, and stuffed mushrooms, both very good. Entree I had Chicken Saltimbocca that came with a side of string beans and roasted potato's. The chicken breast was big and had plenty of prociutto and just enough cheese.(some places smother a small chicken with a ton of cheese), the beans were the best I've ever had tender and garlicky, potato's were very good as well. My father had the special, Jumbo shrimp and crabmeat in red sauce over pasta, it was fantastic too, with a really nice salad with balsamic vinigrette. Usually don't need a reservation if you hit it before 6.
