Great joint, love the vegetarian food!
I love this place, though it has been very crowded lately. The food is priced well, they are great to their regulars and all the vegetarian good is awesome. Highly recommended!

Waitress
The food there is actually pretty good, however our waitress was extremely rude. The waitress ignored us and even made some inappropiate commemts to a member of our party. We all could not belive it, the others in the party urged me not to tip (I did though). They should get rid of that lady and hire friendly staff, it wouldnt be too bad then.

Very nice
This place is very good. All of the food that we have had over the years has been well thought out, tasty, well seasoned, and not over salted at all, i usually add salt. The fried pickles and rarebit are great. This place is a special find!

Neighborhood Gem
Great food, great beer, and even vegetarian/vegan options! I stopped in for lunch with my father a few weeks ago. I had the beef & onion pasties (perfect lunch portion) and he opted to go all out with the Port Richmond platter (everything but the kitchen sink). We were both EXTREMELY please with our meals and the craft beer options.

Really great gastro pub!
The food here is by no means perfect but definatley better than average "good" barfood and worthy of routine visits. Rarebit is sharp, warm, and tasty; pilsner wings are the best wings I have had, ploughman's lunch is fun with a friend, and the port Richmond platter is a great Philly twist on the Polish classic. Great, ever-changing beerlist as well!

Disappointed
3 of us just went after a Phillies game. We all had different items. Nothing special.

They should rename the place "Salt"!
I was really looking forward to having such a cool eatery that stays open late, close by, but I've been really disappointed with their food and service. The food is insanely salty (it screams SALT) and they use white bread for everything. A lot of deep fried food too. It just feels like you're eating something really unhealthy- fatty and salty. I will say their salads are usually spot-on, but they always take the salads I like off the menu. As far as service goes, it started out really well, but the last couple of times the waitress was really rude and unhelpful. Sad, because the owners seem like really nice people.
