The Mexican Post is a decent restaurant. The food is very average to below average for a mexican restaurant, and too priceybut that's to be expected in a center city restaurant. The staff is great, from my experiences they make the restaurant. It's a good place to go for happy hour if you're in the area, but in all honesty, it isn't a gem to search out.

Had lunch there over the weekend, and the food is appalling. Everything had too much cheese in it, the refried beans tasted like canned food, and the chicken pieces were tough and chewy. It's also so dark in there, maybe so they can hide the food from your eyes. Nice staff though, just a shame they work in that place.

I have always loved the Mexican Post. The margs are strong and and the happy hour deals are amazing.. however my friends and I recently had a very bad experience. We were seated and ignored for 20 minutes.. we said something to the manager and when our server finally got to us.. she gave a million excuses.. She took our drink order and appetizer order and dinner order.. we got our food after about 15 minutes... no appetizers.. no drinks... another server saw how miserable we were and he brought us some water so we had something to drink with our meal... 20 more minutes later.. still no drinks we were virtually ignored by our server... Finally a half hour after we recieved our food .. we got our pitcher of margaritas.. The problem - it was the wrong drink.. So we asked if we could please have our right drink and she stared at us and told us that she would have to pay for her mistake... she then left and 10 more minutes later we asked if we were getting replacement drinks? Again she said, "I am going to have to pay for my mistake." finally 45 minutes after we got our meal we got our drinks. It was awful and we were not even compensated for our poor time there. The food was mediocre at best....
