Was good--not any more
When this place first opened, it was great. As the months go by, it gets worse and worse. They're using cheaper ingredients , and it's not good at any price. Wish they'd go back to how it was way back when. For now, it's best to avoid.

Not too happy
Just to preface this I have never felt compelled to write an online review. But, I had such a bad experience at this place I felt it was necessary to do so. Not only was the woman working the counter super rude but the food was extremely mediocre. They took forever to make my food when they had only one other customer and only gave me a thimbles worth of guacamole to go with my $8.00 "nacho's grande" that consisted of stale chips and sparse cheese. It was so over-priced that I actually called the place the next day to see if my credit card bill was correct. She didn't let me get a word in as she was talking over me, telling me that $7.50 is a great price for cheese quesadillas (the same price as the chicken). SO rude. I will not be back.

used to be great - now below average
i used to order from mexico on the square twice a week for last couple months. unfortunately the quality has really gone downhill and its disappointing. i ordered for the last time a few days back when my girlfriend (who never really like the place in the first place) got the chicken quesadillas and bit into a bone in the chicken. i liked the fact that its more rustic than the the chain qdoba type place but bones and the fact that there carne (steak) is now 50% fat/gristle and pieces are just straight up un-edible are the reasons i wont be going back. i also used to like the fajitas, but it depends on whos making them. sometime the whole bottom of the container is a puddle of grease and when you get home its a soggy mess. when i got them two times ago two of the four had only 3 little pieces of steak (approx 1-2 oz) like they didnt put enough meat on the grill for the whole order and then just tried to pull it off by adding more peppers. maybe ill go back in 6 months and order a single thing to see if they got back on track. if they do i will be happy to report back with good things. until then la vercruzana will be seeing much more of me.
