Doing Good
The last diner for Chestnut Street West, it is holding the fort with solid good cooking. Specials tend to be very good, good cheesecakes and layer cake specials. Some great waitresses, some not; take your pick. Not as friendly as Midtown IV, but at least it's open.

Good diner, good prices, service
Open all night, breakfast around the clock, this is what I expect from a good diner. This place delivered! The service is your classic "How ya' doin' hun?" style, and the prices were reasonable. Clean, and well kept. My only complaint is I wish they had a bigger dessert menu, but what I had (cheesecake) was yummy! Not a 5 star elegant restaurant, of course, being a diner, but the best thing going diner-wise, and the only place on that side of town late night, after the bar closes. Overall, I give it 4.5 out of 5.

Lovely
I don't know if diners have chefs or what, but whoever's running Midtowns III and IV has really stepped up their game recently. I went twice in the past week and the food was truly superb for diner fare. Fresh and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service at both joints is also pretty impeccable. And the prices are very reasonable. They're both kind of shabby, but what do you expect from diners of a certain age? At least they're pretty clean. Oh, and the "cocktail lounge" at Midtown III may be the best dive bar in Center City.
