Good food, good service
I ate here for the first time last Thursday night and it was very enjoyable. The food was great and our server, Tim, could not have been nicer or more attentive. Will definitely return.

Still like it...
Well we just ate here last night. I have to agree that the service wasn't the best, but the food is really good. One thing to keep in mind is that this says it's a BYOB and it is not.

Excellent value
And very friendly personal service. Love this place. I used to live in Japan and this is great Sushi

Service was the worst!
My wife and I finally had it with this place. Despite having very good food, the service and general candor of the wait staff makes this restaurant completely not worth anyone's time, money, or general appitite! I advise not wasting your time and going down the road to Silk Cusine for some much better Thai!

A wonderful turn around restaurant
I first went to Mikado's months ago. My sushi experience was horrible, but their Mikado steak was great. I went back a few weeks ago after they joined with Thai Pepper and I have to say it's improved a great bit. I love both Thai and Japanese food so it was a good variety. Their thai chicken salad is a lot of chicken and really spicy (especially with the big strips of ginger in it), but it was delicious. I also highly recommend the ardmore roll. It was really good. It's got something for everyone!

Fantastic experience
This is a great restaurant. A little dressy but you probably won't be turned away for flipflops. There are tables downstairs with a fun Japanese, low-table feel. There is a sushi bar along one side of the room downstairs, so it can be a little louder/more crowded toward the front. There is also a small upstairs area -this is my favorite! If you are going with a date the Shabu Shabu is a two person meal, that you cook your self at the table! It tastes great (beef and vegetables) and is a lot of fun. BUT beware, you must be at a 4 person table to order it (the apparatus is a bit large), so tell them when you make reservations! -Reservations aren't always necessary but are a good idea during the weekend. My only problem with the whole experience was that the hostess was not paying attention to who had reservations and who did not we had to step up and remind her (it was for my b.day after all!) when she was giving our table away, but otherwise everyone was sweet and helpful.
