OK Restaurant.
Food is not bad. But, from Japanese point of view, it's not real sushi at all. And foods come very slowly, we waited for 45 min to have main foods. Prices are relatively expensive.

Beautiful Place, Beautiful Sushi
Sunday night and the restaurant was empty, but that did not stop the gracious servers from quiet, thoughtful, timely service of delicious sushi and hot entrees. They uncorked our wine and appeared when needed and not until. I hope more people learn about this treasure.

Best sushi I've found in Philly so far
I discovered Misso quite by accident and had dinner there with three friends on a Wednesday night. We had a delicious meal, accented by friendly and attentive service and pleasant ambience. We tried a variety of rolls from both the regular and specialty menu, and all were outstanding. The place was criminally empty, even at 7:30, which surprised me given its close proximity to the Kimmel Center and various Avenue of the Arts attractions. I've heard it said that its location makes it easy to overlook. Do yourself a favor and seek it out!

Best Sushi in Town
Bruce Kim is the Gordon Ramsay of sushi. The fish is simple, fresh, classic. I don't want fusion concepts or a dining room that flashes and changes colors. I want great sushi. Sit at the sushi bar and try the tuna balls!

Excellent food, reasonable prices
This is the best Japanese restaurant in Philadelphia. The sushi and sashimi are fresh, very high quality, and expertly prepared and presented. The prices are very reasonable, and the service attentive and friendly. It is also half a block from the Kimmel Center, which makes it a nice location for a pre-concert meal.

Welcome Back Bruce
As soon as I read that Bruce was back in Philly, I had to visit him at his new place, Misso. And I was certainly glad I did! Everything from the food to the atmosphere was terrific! Even though it's in the city, Bruce makes sure you still feel warm & cozy. I plan on going back as often as I can. Welcome back Bruce! Your loyal fan & customer...Sherri

some of the best sushi in philadelphia
I have been getting takeout from Misso for the past month or so, at least once a week. The fish is always fresh and delicious and the rolls are always tight and beautifully presented. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly, always offering me tea while I wait. The chef is also very friendly and knowledgeable, always more than happy to answer any questions I have or make a recommendation based on my likes/dislikes. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic and I definitely recommend sitting down to dinner here.
