Get the Chaat!
I have been a fan of Mood Cafe (and its sister restaurant Desi Chaat House down the street) for a long time now, and I am again and again impressed with the quality of the food, its presentation, and the enthusiasm with which the owner, Hassan, serves it. Many people don't know what chaat is, and to them I say: find out. It is a very unique dish, combining flavors and textures you wouldn't expect, and every variation I've tried has been delicious. And if there's truth to the idea that food "made with love" tastes better, then we have Hassan himself to thank for the enjoyability of eating at Mood Cafe. His energy and passion for the food is palpable, and he crafts each chaat with care. The guy is an artist! No joke. In short: go to Mood Cafe, tell Hassan what you like, and he'll make a chaat for you. And it'll be fantastic. And while you're there, get a lassi or one of the special Indian sodas -- it'll make the experience all the more special. And just wait until summer, when he brings back the ice cream and shaved ice!

So good I leflt a review
I never review places, good or bad, but I enjoy Mood Cafe so much I am compelled to now do so. Fantastic food, great lassis, and best of all is the owner. He is incredibly friendly and passionate about his delicious food. I suggest you just ask him what he recommends that day to order, he will see to it that you get something wonderful and something you love.

Love it.
This is my favorite place to get takeout right now. The food is fresh and delicious, and the owner/manager is a really nice, friendly guy who takes enormous pride in his product. Mood Cafe is pretty tiny - mostly a takeout place, though you can sit down. It does juice, lassis, samosas, and chaat. They also do a delcious shaved ice with a lot of different fruits - even candied rose petals. I adore their crazy chaat, and have had the fruit and samosa chaats as well (Once I tried to combine the two, and the owner said, "No, the fruit chaat is delicious, you will like it, but not with a samosa." He gave me a samosa for free on the side). The mango lassis are delish. Everything is put together while you wait, and the fruit is always crisp and tasty. It's overall a quick option since there's no cooking, though the putting-together isn't McDonald's fast (would you want it to be?) Chaat is just such a fresh, satisfying fast food. I could live on it for weeks in this weather!
