More Than Just Ice Cream

This place is now one of my favorite restaurants in the city, and my favorite for takeout. The food is fresh and usually delicious, and the prices are excellent by Center City standards. Most recently tried the flank steak, which was excellent, and the portions were enormous for the price (only 11.75, & I got 2 meals out of it!). So much better than the chain restaurants I've been going to lately. Interior could do with a reno, but I like to sit outside anyway.

Went here thanks to LivingSocial, and was very pleased with the food. Food was all fresh ingredients, and properly cooked. Good presentation, adequate wait time for food after ordering. Their sandwiches give you a LOT of food- I took half home. Only negatives: I went at 8pm, and the lights were so dim I almost thought the place was closed. Had to speak up to catch servers attention a couple times. But service was still good in regards to keeping water filled, etc. I ordered the portabella sandwich- and although it may have had slightly too much pesto, overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would go again.

My sister & I discovered this quaint, exciting eatery in 2010. Every time we visit the city, we make a point to stop in to have one of their special sandwiches and always top off with a Ice Cream Sundae! Personnel are cheerful, helpful! The atmosphere is very relaxing where we can catch up on news, have a few laughs and just enjoy ourselves.

this place is the true definition of mediocre. we foolishly decided to try the guacamole, which was atrocious. it had no taste whatsoever. for my second dish i had the turkey burger, because the concept of hummus and cranberry chutney on it caught my eye. it was not good. completely overcooked and the cranberry "chutney" still had the lines from the can it came out from. my boyfriend had the bbq chicken breast and mac and cheese. the chicken was not even cooked in bbq sauce. they just pour bbq sauce on it before they serve it. and the mac and cheese was so bad he couldn't even eat it. our meal was so bad we could not even bring ourselves to order ice cream. i definitely do not recommend this place.

Best apple pie ever. One serving can feed 4 normal people or 2 americans.

I often eat here. It is a great place to go for a casual bite to eat with delicious food and great prices. Try the sweet potato fries. In the winter, it's hard to beat the grilled cheese with bacon, apples, or both. I've never had anything but really good meals here.

Overpriced food and sundaes. I go for scoops occasionally because it is close.
