Glory Cakes
The best pancakes ever. Been coming here for 10 years. In the summer a new fruit pancake every day. Recently had them with different nuts and choc chips. The fritatta's are also superb, After you come here a few times the only breakfast choice is "what should we have today". Too good to describe. We've tried them all. Sam's is the best in Philly.

My husband's Favorite
I must start by saying I have only eaten breakfast hear, but once you have breakfast you won't want anything else. This diner has a authentic feel, with great tin coffee mugs that keeps your coffee nice and hot. The servers (every one of them) is down to earth and eager to please. Fritatas and the breakfast pizzas are HUGE! People are constantly leaving with boxes. Everything is homemade from including the ketchup. Enjoy and we'll see you there soon!

fresh food, poor service
on a rainy Sunday afternoon, wait was more than one hour, after we were seated, it took another hour for the food to be delivered and as soon as the food arrived, the waiter delivered a check to our table. how rude. good fresh local food, not worth the wait.

"Berry" good Panckes.
After a 2hr commute from New York on a Feb. Sunday sunny cold morning and 90 min wait add some warming conversation with nice "locals" then enter The Morning "Glo" and family and I enjoyed a down to earth fresh made to order round of breakfast. Have you ever had a breakfast pizza? Try all the fruit choice in one pancake order as advice by our fabulous waiter ,will you! It was worth the trip,Tip!

Good food and service
We went in for a later lunch (1:45) and had to wait only about 5 minutes as we were willing to sit at the counter. Perhaps the other reviews I read about the wait staff had to do with going when it's real busy, but it was full when we were there and the staff was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed being at the counter and watching the cooks go through their paces. The aptmosphere is no frills, but its fun with very good food. I had the Guiness Beef Stew and it was some of the best I've had. None of the four in my group were disappointed with the food or the experience.

Overrated
not worth the long, long wait. Food was okay - not as great as I expected. Wait staff were unfriendly - like they're doing you a favor. I will spend my money elsewhere in the future. Definitely not worth it.

Want poor service? Go here...
While everyone is raving about the food (which is ok), I just wanted to say how unpleasant some of the wait staff is at this diner. Just went there for lunch and it wasn't terribly busy (not even a line), but after waiting for about 35 minutes, I asked the bus boy if he could see what happened to our order. Not something a normal restaurant who respects their customers cannot handle. I was told that "they were really busy and that we should be patient". Since other people who came in after us were already eating their lunch, I wondered whether our waiter had forgotten to put our order in. I replied that "we were running out of patience" to which the bus boy replied (in a loud voice to the entire diner): "table 3 over there is getting impatient, so can you (the waiter) check on their order". As a customer, we have plenty of restaurants to choose from. I would say, skip the long lines and subpar service and spent your hard earned cash somewhere else.
