Excellent breakfast
Special breakfast hash with bacon shiitake onions and two eggs over easy was delicious. Vegan choices are limited but they did have a tofu scramble which was adequate. Special crime brûlée french toast was also good, but not killer. Quantity was a 10, but quality about a 7.5. Still a good value. Wait staff friendly when required to be but nothing extra.

Worth the wait
We spend many weekends in Philly to enjoy the arts and we always make sure we get to Morning Glory for our Sunday breakfast. after 10:00 AM you can wait a bit but the food is well worth it. The service is always good. Hats off to this little known gem

Superb Pancakes!
After reading the other reviews I went in expecting awful service. The staff couldn't have been nicer! And honestly, the pancakes were superb. I had a 'shortstack' which were enormous. They were filled with fresh strawberries, bananas and blueberries. I always have to sample home fries, and theirs are also incredible. My only complaint is they have 'homemade ketchup' which is super tasty, but doesn't taste at all like ketchup. I was there during the week, and it was busy, but I'd imagine weekends are tough.

Morning Glory's staff ruined my morning glory
Something about the service and staff at Morning Glory just rubs me the wrong way. They are all very impersonable, and slightly snobbish. Its almost as if they think they are better than the customer. The food was alright but the service really ruined the experience for me. Thanks to the newly opened Green Eggs Cafe, located on 13th & Dickinson Streets in South Philly, I now have a new morning spot that offers quality food, served by quality people, to ensure that I leave with a quality experience every single time!

Glory Cakes
The best pancakes ever. Been coming here for 10 years. In the summer a new fruit pancake every day. Recently had them with different nuts and choc chips. The fritatta's are also superb, After you come here a few times the only breakfast choice is "what should we have today". Too good to describe. We've tried them all. Sam's is the best in Philly.

My husband's Favorite
I must start by saying I have only eaten breakfast hear, but once you have breakfast you won't want anything else. This diner has a authentic feel, with great tin coffee mugs that keeps your coffee nice and hot. The servers (every one of them) is down to earth and eager to please. Fritatas and the breakfast pizzas are HUGE! People are constantly leaving with boxes. Everything is homemade from including the ketchup. Enjoy and we'll see you there soon!

fresh food, poor service
on a rainy Sunday afternoon, wait was more than one hour, after we were seated, it took another hour for the food to be delivered and as soon as the food arrived, the waiter delivered a check to our table. how rude. good fresh local food, not worth the wait.
