I simply LOVE the food at 52nd St. location. Because they get alot business, the turnover for freshness of seafood is great. Great seasoning, frying, & value! Thanx for a great store, & great food product. 52nd St. location is waaaay better than the dirty Woodland Ave location, & Rising Sun is is no comparison. You will not be disappointed! Just let them know NO lemon pepper on your fries. They DO need a bigger serving container f/the cole slaw. That is the reason for my rating of 4.5

First time here...went to the Mr. Hooks in SW. I ordered $44 worth of food, I went to pay with my debit card and after waiting for it to be processed I was told there was a problem and that I would have to use the atm. There was a $1.75 charge to use the atm in the store. While paying I asked if they would subtract the $1.75 from the bill, the older gentlemen stated " its not my fault, you should of waited". He went on to say someone had called in on the phone line of the store and they were unable to clear the line, therefore they couldn't process my payment. So correct me if I'm wrong...isn't that the store's fault that they have such an antiquated system. He just shrugged his shoulders as to say "so what". He was just so nonchalant and rude, the food was okay, had to add salt and old bay when I got home. Not worth it.

I looked over all the reviews and it was on the scale of 65/35. So it made me skeptical, but I tried it and I really enjoyed it. I'm going back and will definately refer Mr. Hook to anyone who wants some good food for a reasonable price.

So I received a menu in my door over a year ago and never tried it as I am wary over seafood not near a pier. I was delightfully suprised at the quality of my order and taste was superb. I frequent restaurants such as Amis and moto but the classiness can't compare to the culturally rich ingredients found in neighborhood resturantes. I ordered dungonese crabs w/ garlic butter sauce and old bay, and a medium crab cake meal. It was wonderful and I would recommend this place to everyone. I was slightly disappointed that they no longer make Arabic food, but other than that excellent.
