We were looking for a place that was close to our hotel for breakfast and our doorman said that Mrs K's is great. I'm glad that I took his advice. My wife, daughter and I were very happy the waitress even went out of her way to make Mickey Mouse pancakes for my daughter. If we are in the city again we would return.

After reading so many great reviews about this place, we decided to try it on 8/6/2011. We waited 75 minutes for breakfast that was served cold, dry toast, the thinest bacon I have ever seen. Our waitress was not interested in any of her customers. In the end, it cost us more than 30 bucks for breakfast for 4 people that was really pretty awful. Go somewhere else. This place is not what it once was and was a HUGE dissappointment.

We were there for a week (7/22-27/10 for our annual Military Vets (from Misawa Japan) reunion. We got excellent service from Santee (sp) and wonderful food from the staff. I liked it so much I told the rest of our group and they also experienced excellent service/food. Congrats to all of them for making us feel so welcome in their Coffee shop and their city.

Had USAFSS reunion close to there Very good service and food. Kaylee (??) was the only waitress in there one morning and did a mighty fine job with every stool occupied.. Thanks, gal !!

Unfriendly service, poor food for the price. I had 3 pancakes and scrapple for $8.02. The scrapple appears to be deep fried, as opposed to being cooked on the grill. How disgusting! They don't even serve real syrup. Treated me like they didn't care whether I was there or not. I work around the corner. I don't ever go in there because I was sure I wouldn't like to food, but I was desperate. No one else was open at that hour, in that neighborhood.

I've been looking, since I arrived in Philadelphia, for a diner that was the real deal. All up to this point have disappointed me. Either the staff was rude or the food was below greasy-spoon standards. I knew I'd found the real deal when the waitress who took care of my girlfriend and myself addressed as both as "Hon". She was fast with the service, the food was pretty good (and a fairly reasonable portion-per-buck ratio) and though it isn't on the Interstate, It did have counter seating with swivel chairs.
