As others have written, the atmosphere and food is fine. Retro diner, everyone on stools...was really hoping for a good breakfast experience. We were a party of five, including 2 kids. The waitresses are not very good, and the service suffers from it.

We entered this place for a late breakfast at 11:00 and manage to get out at 12:45. By reading the reviews it's seems that the extremely slow and unpleasant service is common in that restaurant. The retro-look with round seats and long counters makes it attractive from the outside. But once inside, if you're not a regular customer (who manage to get attention from the waitress) you will probably regret to be there. A guy arrived 30 minutes after us, ordered, finished his plate and paid 20 minutes before having our own plates. The breakfast (after few order mistakes) was ok. We ordered a fruit salad which they make themselves. The problem is apparently not in the kitchen.

Had the BEST waitress in the whole wide world....!! The food was very good (and very hot) and we are absolutely happy that we came here. We will come again..... and this is a PROMISE!!! :-) Thank you very much for this totally wonderful experience! ! Dean and Diana

Nothing has changed after giving up on them a year ago and revisiting. There's always this one lady who doesn't fail to show she could care less about being there, always angry, rude, and makes people feel rushed.

We were looking for a place that was close to our hotel for breakfast and our doorman said that Mrs K's is great. I'm glad that I took his advice. My wife, daughter and I were very happy the waitress even went out of her way to make Mickey Mouse pancakes for my daughter. If we are in the city again we would return.

After reading so many great reviews about this place, we decided to try it on 8/6/2011. We waited 75 minutes for breakfast that was served cold, dry toast, the thinest bacon I have ever seen. Our waitress was not interested in any of her customers. In the end, it cost us more than 30 bucks for breakfast for 4 people that was really pretty awful. Go somewhere else. This place is not what it once was and was a HUGE dissappointment.

We were there for a week (7/22-27/10 for our annual Military Vets (from Misawa Japan) reunion. We got excellent service from Santee (sp) and wonderful food from the staff. I liked it so much I told the rest of our group and they also experienced excellent service/food. Congrats to all of them for making us feel so welcome in their Coffee shop and their city.
