This past thursday i went to Ms Tootsies with a friend from a bite and cocktails. Upon entering i was greeted by a youthful polished hostess who offered us a table although we opted to rest at the bar for the evening. The barkeep was pretty and pleasant and entertained out questions about a cocktail that appeared very refreshing and was garnished with a watermelon wedge. It ended up being a creative take on a long island iced tea crafted with the restaurant's tropical iced tea. The manager brought us out warn cornbread muffins with strawberry butter which were delicious! For dinner we had the country fried chicken wings which were advised had won a local cuisine award. We indulged in two healthy glasses of red wine as well. The contemporary decor, soft music, and dim lighting made for an intimate yet hip atmosphere...i will definitely have lunch, dinner, or drinksnat Ms. Tootsies again!!

Great atmosphere, food, and service. Keep improving. Success is not a destination but a journey!

Ms Tootsies is one of my favorite spots for delicious food, good service, and a delightful atmosphere.

This past weekend I went to Ms Tootisie's and my experience was great. The wait time was no longer 10 minutes, the service was great, and the food was even better. I recommend the chicken and waffles alongside their famous iced tea. Everything was lovely, however the only complaint I have is the table I had which was right near the dish room door, but that was minor and didn't affect my night. Overall, this restaurant is great and i think every person seeking some soul food should attend.

All I have to say is this place ss way too hyped for what it really is... The food was ok if you love salt but the main problem here is the classless staff including managers, waiters and bartenders. They really need a course on what fine dinning , customer service and proper speaking really is. I have been to many classy restaurants and this here is a joke compared to others. I wonder if the owner of this place is aware of what the staff really does here!!! Unreal! will never come back or recommend this place to anyone

So I have been eating here for over 5 years but recently and I don't know maybe it's the cook but the quality is not what it use to be I had the smothered wings and the sauce was watery and the green beans were bland I expect so much more from this place because it's one of the only upscale black owned restaurants In center city

I visited this restaurant with about 10 other people the first time and although pricey it was very good. I recently went back on 02/16/14 after seeing a play in the area: It was overcrowded, no place to wait but by the main entrance or if you could get to the crowded bar. A 2 hour wait so we ordered take out at the bar. Left and returned about 1/2 hour later meal not ready, waited another hour and 15 minutes before it was ready and that was after reminding the bartender 3 times. Go the food home to Delaware and the cabbage was undercooked, sweet potatoes were hard and tasted like apples and my smothered chicken wings still had feathers on them. I could not believe the difference and the food prices are not cheap. I paid $45 for 2 chicken wing dinners (4 chicken wings, 2 sides and a piece of cornbread) and 2 slices of sock it to me lemon pound cake which was the best part of the meal. Atmosphere inside is nice but to crowded no room. Will not be partionizing again.
