First off, when I went there I was a big fan. Their was this one waiteress that was really good and friendly. However, she left. My boyfriend and I use to go there twice a month. When she left, the service got poor. The food is good. Kinda ok for the price. I don't think it is the best sushi resturant in University City. The atmosphere is unpleasant. It is in the middle of University City. Everytime I went we would be seated next to a party of rowdy party kids with sake. They would be yelling constantly. Service was subpar. One time when we went we where seated. We could only be seated in bar. We didn't mind. However our waitress took a long time to get the food and didn't even fill our cups. It was an unpleasant experence. She never paid attention to us. After the bill came, all she did was hover around it to see how much money she got for tip. Needless to say we didn't tip her. We tipped the sushi chef at the bar instead. When we went back to give it another chance, we must have got a waitress that recognized us. They required us on our bill to tip 20 percent because we don't tip....we don't tip bad service. we tipped the sushi chef that day instead. We talked to the manager who didn't seem to understand a lick of english. We gave up and paid it.

This place delivers great Japanese food they even have buckwheat cold noodles! Service is prompt and really friendly, and they deliver up to 50th street a huge plus.

A nice restaurant in University City with good food. Hidden in the lowest level it is difficult to see from the road but worth hunting for. traditional Japanese seating is available.
