    None better!

Ever since National Mechanics opened it has become a favorite dinner/drink stop for both myself and my husband as well as a large group of friends. Its a great placed to kick back relax and not feel out of place in todays semi uptight bar scene. The food is perfect and the service is always with a smile and as speedy as can be. The prices are another clencher. Two dollar tap and 5 dollar burger happy hour specials. The decor is both interesting and inviting. compared to some of the previous establishments in this building this is far and beyond a step up for the old Mechanics National Bank. Two Thumbs up, WAY up... if I had a third, it would be up there too!!

    Welcome addition to the neighborhood

This place is a welcome change to Old City. Great food and drinks at a reasonable price without the pretension of the neighborhood. We stopped in when Second Street got to be too much. It's in a landmark building, once the legendary Revival, you can't miss it. The decor inside is awesome, the booths are pews and lighting is amazing. We started with mint juleps, which I hadn't had in a million years, perfect on a warm day. I had the Frito Taco Extravaganza and a great burger, my girlfriend had the veggie burger, which she is still talking about. The staff was attentive and friendly, I'll definitely go back. Music was pretty good too, I heard the Minutemen and Wu Tang when we were there, definitely not your typical scene. Some of the hipster crowd, but what do you expect, it's a cheap not crappy place in Old City?! Plenty of space for a group if you get there early.

    great time

met a bunch of friends here to try it out, most of us hadn't been in the building for 10 years or so. The place is great. Recommended.

    never again

The only good thing about this place was the weird decor. The bartender left us without drinks for 10 minutes (there were 2 other people in the place) and the food was less than desirable. I will not return.

    Great food and atmosphere

This place is brand new and has a lot to offer the neighborhood. I got the burger and really enjoyed it. It was cooked how I had asked, it was big and the french fires were that perfect crispy on the outside and soft on the inside texture. The atmosphere of the place is great too. It's all candle light and has these weird dogs on the walls that add to the slightly twisted ambiance. I also thoroughly enjoyed a Yards for $3, especially in Old City, and will definitely return for drinks and later night food. (The kitchen is open till 1!)
