Great food and service!
I don't understand the negative reviews!?! Every time I order I get amazing food for a great price. Their ribs are always tender and moist, their half chicken is to die for and their wings are so succulent and moist , compaired to other joints that deep fry their wings. Nicks is the Best BBQ in Philly!

Just Average (But Just Good Enough)
Nick's is a modestly priced place that can have better service and quality but could serve in a pinch if you are tired of traditional take out. The only true regret is to see they have fallen into the same mind set as any other company where they feel in order to provide you a "service" of what was once free delivery is now a cost to you, which probably does not go to the driver and that person should receive it as part of his tip. The store owners do not use their own vehicles for delivery nor they themselves make deliveries (that are most of the time are on time). However, the one owner is pretty personal if you engage this person and the same for the front desk/orderers. The locals that frequent there tend to be sociable and that is a plus. It would also be nice to see them find more meals that a vegetarian or even a vegan can come in to get a veggie wrap or pita or something that has no meat. Enjoy your meal.

poor quality
I decided to give nicks a second chance, avoided delivery, and opted for pick up. I had something simple: a bacon cheeseburger. It was edible, but the quality of the food was quite poor. Dry meat, and old chewy bread. Definitely needs some improvement.

Great for a burger and fries!
I'm a hamburger lover, and the burger from Nick's was a great surprise. It's a very large patty on a delicious roll, and their fries were great too... a big order with just the right amount of "fried" to them. Delivery can be slow, but if it's fast this is a burger to be recommended.

Cheap, Good Eats! Choose Take Out over Delivery if you can
I have always been pleased with my meals from Nick's and recommend them to friend's often. The ribs are great, the portions on the t-bone and lamb are large and I have enjoy several sandwiches from the menu. Delivery seems to usually take a hour, even on a slow night, so try to get take out if you can. I think most of the time it's worth the wait though.

needs improvement
i just ordered delivery, i ordered a nicks special and wings. i thought the sandwich lacked character and the execution was poor. as a warning i would stay away from ordering it for delivery because the spinach leeched its juices into the bread ruining the famous flavor and texture of sarcones, however i suppose it would be tasty if it was fresh(delivery took about an hour.) the wings were just okay, grilled nicely, but soggy like hour long wings to go usually are i suppose. 2.5 out of 5 probably wont order again.
