The Best Choice For New Year
I stumbled upon this little place in a quaint part of town and made reservations for New Year's Eve. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic. I had the Veal Louis. The service was great. The atmosphere was charming and festive at the same time. This will be a great place to bring guests from out-of-town!

Philly Fringe and Green Festival
While waking between the Fringe Festival and the Green Festival we came across Nola's. At first I was thinking it was going to be Haitian/Italian because of the Creole reference. Turned out to be New Orleans's style. We enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service. My glass was never empty and the wait staff was not hovering.

Good food not worth the price
My daughter and I stumbled in NOLA on a Saturday evening around 8:00 p.m. Not very busy at all, but still had a difficult time getting seated. It was restaurant week and we were not offered the special menu, but heard others offered it after we had ordered. My daughter ordered the Fire Dusted Sirloin. She enjoyed the steak. The side was mixed veggies. I ordered the Chicken Elena at the suggestion of our server. It was delicious. Also came with a side of mixed veggies. No salads or other sides were included. Neither of us left full, but were satisfied. Our bill was over $44 and despite the excellent atmosphere and decent service and food, it was not even remotely worth the price. Neither of us would return, unfortunately.

Yummy Voodoo Shrimp
My bf & I stumbled upon this restaurant while strolling around. Wow !! Amazing food! We had voodoo shrimp appetizers, recommended by the server, who was right on - believe me, I would have ate a whole platter of shrimp, it was that good. I had a vel dish with crab meat topping with a decadent white sauce. I am looking forward to going back.

Never a bad meal
I am surprised at previous reviews. We went on our honeymoon 2 years ago, pouring rain. Few people in place. Atmosphere quaint, sat by window in alcove. Romantic, dimley lit. Voodoo coctail(rasberry chambord cosmo) out of this world and got 2 glasses out of shaker! Food was delicious. Manager could not have been nicer. Ate a nother time after and had great experience.

Least Favorite Restaurant in Philly
I came here one evening and had the poorest dining experience of my life. The food was severely below average, EXTREMELY overpriced (22 bucks for some overcooked chicken, rice and beans? no thanks). The bartender was extremely rude, our server was even worse, approaching us for the first time with a friendly "What do you want". The atmosphere was trite and forced, but worst of all was the food. HUGE disappointment. There are so many other restaurants in the city that are stellar, this visit was a complete waste of time and money.

Cajun King
Great food in a nice part of town. Staff are very friendly and supply a strong pour. Certainly worth a visit. I recommend the Voodoo Shrimp and the Cajun Prime Rib.
