disappointing experience
I recently had lunch at Ooka in Willow Grove. The service was so slow. We had about 3 different servers come to our table for different things. It seemed everyone who worked there was sharing tables instead of one person focusing on one table. We had to ask for more napkins twice because the first person forgot to bring them. Many of the sauce bowls had big chips in them (the kind that would prompt me to throw them out at home). The food was definitely not worth the wait. Our entrees included steak teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and a couple of sushi combination platters. The teriyaki sauce was very thick and salty. The salad was ok, did not eat the soup, duck appetizer also ok. I will likely never waste my money there again.

Best Hibachi in Philly area!
I've been going to the Willow Grove location for many years taking clients to lunch or just going with co-workers and they have Never disappointed. I Always get the hibachi and it's always hard for me to decide which meat options I want as they are all delicious and tasty. I usually go with the steak & scallop though. I didn't think it could get any better until I visited the Montgomeryville location. OMG, the food is just as great, the atmosphere is beautiful & calming And they have a bar! Now I take my kids to the Willow Grove location and I go to the Lansdale location with hubby & friends. P.S. This is the first review I've EVER written for Anything so the place must be great to compel me to write a review.

Yum!
Love this place! The spicy baked mussels are one of the best things I've ever tasted. The sushi is great, especially their signature rolls. Hibatchi is good and fun. A must try of you like sushi.

like the atmosphere!
it seems so much more formal than bluefin but still i feel like sushi was better at bluefin. good for business setting i think. waitress was nice but hibachi tables are such a chaos. very slow. but enjoyable. for sushi, i would go somewhere else. agree with yucky dressing.

Good veggie Sushi, Salad Dressing Yucky
The vegetarian Sushi dinner was excellent. The ginger dressing on the complimentary salad was way too much and yucky. Note to vegetarians, the Miso soup here, as in many places, is not strictly vegetarian. Contains fish product.

Consistently Good
Ooka is a solid performer with good food and good value. I think that what helps to make it special is the atmosphere -especially on the weekends. It is lively and you can tell that people are enjoying themselves because of the animated chatter.
