Disappointing
The little asian carts in center city are much better and way cheaper! no I do not own a cart. I spent close to 15 dollars at this place and had food that was......I can't even say subpar.

Disappointing
The food doesn't taste anything like what you think you ordered. Every time I tried this place (I gave them at least 5 chances) I thought they misunderstood my order... but then I realized, that its actually just an awful place! Here's the funniest thing... I once went in there and ordered a curry dish and they asked if I wanted noodles or rice with it, so I said rice (who eats curry with noodles?) and then the RUDE employee came back with "oh we're out of rice, so we gave you noodles" AFTER i paid them! seriously dude? cmon.

Do not get the pho!!
It's ashame that there are a lack of decent thai/vietnamese places for lunch in Center City, so when I saw that Pad Thai Shack had pho I was elated to try it. I ordered spring rolls and beef pho; the spring rolls weren't too bad but the pho was subpar! It was extremely unauthentic and the broth tasted like plain hot water with flat rice noodles and pieces of overcooked beef dumped into it. I will not be going back for the soup.

Average
Food is average however it's pricey. $9 for the Curry Chicken but they should have called it Curry with noodles. There may have been a half of chicken breast in the entire dish. If you are going to charge close to $10 bucks you have to add some chicken to the dish.

Poor Thai Food
Not the best Thai food. My friend had the Pad Thai and it was mediocre. I had the fried rice - which was pretty much a plate of rice with watery sweet Pad Thai sauce. They should be ashame of themselvesd. However, the service was friendly - but I was there for the food.

Looks can be deceiving
This might be possibly the some of the worst Thai food I've ever had in a restaurant. The stereotype is common that "hole-in-the-wall" Asian restaurants tend to be more authentic and tastier than more elaborate places, but this restaurant is the exception. I even ordered Pad Thai a second time months after first trying Pad Thai and Green Curry, not able to believe that a restaurant with a cute little cartoon mascot and a spartan interior could produce such horrible food. The result? Couldn't even make myself finish it.

Cheap, easy, healthy, fun
Lots of good choices. The specials that aren't on the menu are even better values than the items on the menu themselves. They even have a good selection of Thai sides, salads, sodas and desserts too. A little crowded to sit and eat there at lunch, but well worth it. Way cheaper in price than the rest of Rittenhouse Sq., but just as good as any other food there.
